Ty Pennington Launches New Magazine in N.Y. City

Not the best timing by any means.

But what can you do? Ty Pennington, the embattled project manager on the ABC hit reality series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, launched his brand new magazine, Ty Pennington At Home, on May 14 in New York City.

You can't blame the guy for branding himself, but seriously, what's next, a Dancing with the Stars magazine with Apolo Anton Ohno on the cover?

To Ty's credit, he's taken total responsibility and seems genuinely upset at himself over his recent DUI arrest. Hopefully the new magazine will be successful, and give him a positive dose of PR.

Meanwhile, Pennington's Extreme Makeover cohort, Ed Sanders, just welcomed triplets - and will welcome a reality TV show, National Bingo Night, this Friday!

I’m writing in the paper that Kingfisher is on the verge of bankruptcy … which it is. The next morning, I get slapped with two lawsuits from Natey Flint. He takes out a liable suit against the Sunrise Herald and a one-million-dollar liable suit against me.

Stacey: Do you know of any fires in this area?
Frank Kovick: There was one in ’41.
Stacey: There was one in ’41? Where?
Frank Kovick: In Sunrise.
Stacey: Sunrise…
Frank Kovick: It was huge, it destroyed most of the town.
Stacey: Really?!
Frank Kovick: Founders Day fire. They called it the “Miracle Fire” because nobody died.
