It's totally not Lauren Stamile, but Rose at best is a very poorly written character. Every scene she has been in thus far has been a cheese factor plot device. Grey's has too many cast members as is and the thought that in true Shonda fashion this character "could" at some point become a regular is frightening to me in terms of how the writing continues to go this season. Just watched a sneak peak of the Rose and Derek characters for part two of Crash Into Me and all I can say is it is such a forced and poorly written scene (wait until you see it, you'll understand) that I actually felt sorry for the actress and Dempsey for having to act in it. I am sure this is a gig of a lifetime for Stamile and who wouldn't want it? But the writers have sadly dropped the ball with the Rose character. No chemistry with Dempsey and the plot line is beyond bad. Hopefully what is great about the Derek character is not ruined by this ill conceived idea of yet another triangle. Grey's writers/

Lauren seems great, it's Rose that I don't like. They say she will be here for at LEAST 4 epis, but that could mean she's here for more (though I'm reaaaaaally hoping she isn't). I agree with MerDerAddicted, she should've been cast as Derek's sister. She totally would've been believable!

i do not have anything against this Lauren woman but please, get her away from the show! and far far away from Derek. she can go to any other show she wants but not in GA

Go away! stupid rose, meredith tells derek she doesnt want him to date anybody else than her... derek better quit foolin around with stupid rose and stick with meredith! JUST GO AWAY! shes only here for 4 episodes...so thats good sign that derek and meredith will be together! but ill be very angry if they have derek making a 'hard' decision by having to choose mer or rose! hes all ready had to do that, and meredith has done that too. please just let them be happy, it'll make be happy, too!

She should have been cast as his sister not a love interest for Derek. I'm a MerDer supporter to the end.

it seems that grey's becomes more like "The Bold and the Beautiful" it's getting boring and inconsistent!! just don't understand the writers... if you compare the first two seasons with the end of the 3. ... these storylilnes are just needless

I can see why she is excited , who wouldnt be if they are dempsey's love interest and all. Well goodluck to Lauren, but that doesnt mean i like Rose character.
