Randy Jackson to Assist Paula Abdul with Album

We interrupt updates on Danny Noriega and other season seven contestants to discuss a pair of our favorite judges...

A week after Paula Abdul's lip-synch-tastic Super Bowl performance, we're found out that her American Idol co-judge Randy Jackson has confirmed that he will have a hand in producing her forthcoming full-length album.

"We've been talking about it," Jackson told Entertainment Weekly. "We gotta keep things rolling, you know?"

No release date or label has been announced yet, but last week Paula Abdul's official website posted a message saying to expect an album in the summer of 2008.

summer of 2008? i want her to do an album but i dont think summer 08 will be realistic, because she will be soo busy now with idol for the next few months and randy will also be busy.. and i dont want her to rush the album (like so many of the idol winners have done). i am definitely looking forward to it, especially her making several more music videos. her videos are all amazing and original. and her superbowl performance was perfectly choeographed, she definitely hasnt lost her choreography skills!!

  3. yay!

i hope she comes out with a whole album. i hope she does songs that are even more upbeat than "dance". GOOO PAULA
