Gossip Girl > Round Table: "The Magnificent Archibalds" > Comments Page 2
Why can't Aaron just say "Yeah" once, instead of his usual Yeah yeah, like normal people do?
I thought the episode was great. I mean I am mssing the C&B chemistry but I am hopeful it will make it that more intense once it actually happens again.
Things I liked:
1. Chuck is so great in every scene whether against Eric or V etc. He is such a great character and Ed Westwick truly brings him to life.
2. Eric. I have missed him. He is so witty and a great part of the cast.
3. Jenny without the black eyeliner. I forgot how pretty she is.
4. Nate scenes. It was nice to see that Chace is not just a pretty face, He is a good actor. Emotional scenes.
5. Scenes for next week... looks like it is going to be worth the wait.
6. I feel the same about Blair as I do Chuck. Her character is awesome and I love her one liners and her insecurites. Great acting.
Things I didn't like;
1. I know we are meant to love to hate V but really she is an annoying character. I wish they would give us something to like about her. Hasn't happen for me yet.
2. Of all the gorgeous GOOD actors ou
Agree with "Castle" Nate like Jenny or Vanessa because they're lower than him and I think he feels like a superheroe with both instead with B or S they were like superwoman i mean Blair waas the one that shine in the relationship they were Blair and Nate; Queen B and N.. AND with Jenny or V he's the man he is the one in charge the one who shines is common sense that he wants to be the one who has the power in relationship .. I like J&N even i HATE jenny last season i think she's changing .. i 2.13 they'are pictures of J with Penelope Hazel and Isabel isn't interesting? I want moree scenes of B's army we haven't seen too much last season we a lot of scenes of Blair Kati and Isabel and then of Penelope Hazel etc i love seeing B as the Queen .. and CAN somebody tell me what happened to Elise the little girl that was always with jenny?????? .. this episode looks to be a GOOD one because all the REAL coupples seem to come together like D&S C&B and Lily and Rufus and wooooooow!
Did anyone else notice that Lily called Eric "E"?? I mean, SERIOUSLY?!?
I LOVE VANESSA
I just had to say that.
I would prefer V over Arron anyday. and its probabily better and more 'Legal' that V and N get together rather than J and N
i'm quite surprised on how well dan is taking S going out with someone else.
but knowing Josh Schwartz he will not repeat his mistakes in the O.C. because if D and S (the main characters) aren't together well theres less incentive to watch this show.
i cringe everytime that S and the artsy guy kiss.
i loved it!!! and the old jenny's back! i'm so glad, but aaron is so ... idk, but i don't like him. at all. and serena's dress was soooo bloody short!!! it would've been better if it was longer though...
but o well! i am so happy atm for all characters because they're finding happiness! espesh blair and her dad, and rufus and jenny
i love gossip girl!!! can't wait till the next episode!!! loll
what's it called anyway???
god, vanessa is a huge bitch. the forum is for voicing your opinion so i feel free to say that. i mean, she used to be nice now shes even worse than the typical upper east sider coz shes just as bad and pretends to be a goody two shoes!
the person im most mad at is nate. first he sends a letter to jenny saying how much he cares, then he asks out vanessa? WTF, does he want to cause as much trouble as possible? i still love nate though, he should choose jenny all the way!
"but i can't hide the way i really feel about you. the emotions are too strong for me to just pretend that they don't exist. i think about you all the time. Now that your brother knows about us, i have to stay away from you. But i don't want to. i really care about you. I just don' know what to do.
To DANdy and MiaMiaMeow- I'm from California as well and I'd guess that about 95% of young voters here were against 8. I don't know anyone that voted for it. It was definitely the conservative, elderly, and others that would never watch Gossip Girl who voted it to pass. We're protesting and signing petitions left and right, though, and it will be overturned!
*End off topic rant* :)
Milla, you feel bad for V? You know she's not real, right? = )
Also, character bashing is stupid, I realize this, but this is a public forum in which people are allowed to voice their thoughts. I don't think people should have to censor their opinions on certain characters just because other people disagree or don't want to read about it. Besides no one is being particularly cruel and if they were it wouldn't really matter because the character's are not REAL.
My favorite quote (As usual) goes to Blair. "DOROTA! More flour..." is so simple, but so classic B. And Blair would totally have a tradition that includes watching and assessing others make her pie.
People please...stop the character bashing and hating and enjoy the show! V is not that bad OMG! I feel sorry for her that most of the ppl here really hate her...
In this episode i think we should give Dan more credit, he's just being classic dan and i really enjoyed this episode...it kinda did make me a bit teared up...especially when Blair reunited with her father, and Jenny went back home ripping those papers...its just...ITS ABOUT TIME the rebellious Jenny ends! and her thick make up is gone! Finally...and Nate's story is really sad too when they took his dad away and his mum was crying...
My fave quote was when Blair said something about Dan to Serena, which goes like, "urgh, here comes the ghost of your boyfriend's past to haunt me" hahahhaha...hilarious
i would also go with Chuck... often its just chuck or Blair who ends up with the best line... I agree... best line of the night was Chuck to Serena: "If you're talking about the dress, I say higher." the way he says it... the look... the suit... PRICELESS! hahaha.
I still HATE Jenny and Vanessa...hehe! ;)
You guys are amazing, and I always look forward to reading the Round-Table. But I mean really, "I hope California voters were paying attention to how mature, forgiving and grounded gay people can be." I live in California and I'm all for gay rights, from what I know so was everybody else in my school besides a few of those outcasts that no one liked.
Just a thought my friends and I had: Nate did not last with Blair because Blair has too strong a personality for him. Serena, on the other hand, rejected Nate. And now, Jenny and Vanessa are after Nate. Doesn't that say something? Either Serena and Blair are just on a pedestal and have higher standards, or Jenny and Vanessa just have lower standards and are not used to men liking them, so they're overwhelmed. Just a thought. Peace.
I agree with most of you, Vanessa has to disappear. Actually, Brooklyn people have got to stay in Brooklyn, except for Rufus and Dan maybe. Jenny is too young for Nate, and she's too much of a social climber for me to take. Rufus is the only one who accepts who they are in the social ladder and make the most out of what they have. Everyone has to do the same.
Oops! "quote" :p
"You have my word for all that's worth"
At least he's honest, right?
And why is it cool to hate Vanessa? She isn't even THAT bad, guys. Seriously!
I actually don't hate Vanessa (usually). I was mad about what she did with the letter, but I think I might have done the same thing. But she's usually the character with morals, so that was a letdown.
I enjoy the whole show, but part of the fun is getting angry at characters sometimes and loving them other times.
You guys really hate Vanessa! It's not that serious Enjoy the Show. I enjoy all aspects of this show!! I hope this show last for many seasons with all the characters and new ones to come. That's what makes show last longer new characters with new plots. They can't keep on hooking up with each other that's boring.
I would really like to see Vanessa's backstory. Although i like Jenny i just think that her character is not mature enough for a relationship with Nate. I love how Nate and Vanessa bring out the emotions out in each other.
blake_is_lovely practically just copied JustMyChuck and changed a few words. You guys came up with good ones though.
Another good quote:
Rufus: I miss her a lot.
Dan: You know, in all the arguments you two have had, I haven't once heard you tell her that.
Rufus: Oh my God, you're right.
Dan: That's not ... that rare is it?
Oh, pompous little Dan. I love you.
Anyone think this episode wasn't THAT well written? It just didn't seem on par with the other episodes. And a little too sappy at times. I loved it, don't get me wrong. Just some iffy and not-so-believable parts IMO.
1. favorite gossip girl quote:
blair testing dorota's loyalty: "who do you work for?"
2. how sketchy is aaron rose?
very sketchy. it was a good idea to give serena a different love interest for awhile. but for it to be aaron and his "big love" lifestyle?! i dont believe he can change his ways so easily. i dont trust him.
3. least realistic run-in:
blair and jenny. come on?! the likely chances of bumping on someone you know on the street is very slim. especially in a city as big as NYC!!
4. most poignant thanksgiving moment:
blair reuniting with her dad!!! come on blair deserves happiness in a season filled with heartbreaks. im happy she got to see her beloved father on her favorite holiday.
5. nate's letter:
it was fun while it lasted. i have strong feelings for you but it was as strong as the feelings i felt for the other flings in my life. i wish stalker vanessa will just butt out of my life.
quote "Jenny, I care about you more than the latest Biolage bodifying shampoo. While it may reinvigorate my hair and provide my bangs with voluminous body, you lather my heart with kind words, a shoulder to cry on...."
aaron doenst go to school because he already graduated from RISD and works as an artist. he's suppose to be older..
If you pause it, the letter basically says that Nate has very strong feelings for Jenny, but since Dan found out and got so angry, Nate doesn't know what to do.
