at . Comments

Below is the CW's press release for Episode 16 of Season Two, "You've Got Yale" (another great title). This episode will air on Monday, January 19 ...

It’s that stressful time of year when Constance Billard and St. Jude’s students find out who is and isn’t worthy of early admission to Yale University.

Meanwhile, Serena van der Woodsen bonds with her new Shakespeare teacher, Rachel (guest star Laura Breckenridge), who has no clue what kind of wrath she's about to incur after giving Blair Waldorf the first B of her private school career.

Chuck teams up with an unlikely ally in his war with Jack (guest star Desmond Harrington) over Bass Industries, while Nate and Vanessa spend a romantic night at the opera.

Sounds interesting! For synopses of the next two episodes ("In the Realm of the Basses," airing January 5, and "Gone with the Will, airing January 12), follow the jump ...

Next Monday in "In the Realm of the Basses," Chuck has been MIA since his father’s funeral, but his uncle Jack arrives to help him pick up the messy pieces ... once he finds him, that is. Trying her best to forget her last painful exchange with Chuck, Blair focuses her attention on being accepted into the most prestigious club in the city, Colony Club. Jenny returns to Constance Billard and immediately takes on Penelope and her posse of mean girls, but no one is going down without a valiant, Gossip Girl-worthy fight.

Then, in "Gone with the Will," Chuck, Bart’s brother Jack, and Lily learn the fate of Bart Bass' empire. Rufus and Lily’s relationship is strained further as Rufus seeks details about the child he never knew he had, and when Dan uncovers Rufus and Lily's secret, he must decide what to do with this revelation.

Oh dear god. I say it once, and I said it a thousand times already. I too hate Vanessa because she is not what she is supposed to be in the books. But seriously draw a line between the actress and the character they play! Just because you hate vanessa don't HATE JESSICA SZOHR! YOU GUYS ARE HOPELESS. ESPECIALLY SOME OF YOU CHAIR SHIPPERS. I AM ONE MYSELF BUT AT LEAST I AM NOT SO PATHETIC SO AS TO WISH THAT LEIGHTON WOULD BREAK UP WITH SOMEONE SHE'S PERFECTLY HAPPY WITH (SEBASTIAN) FOR ED. I am so disappointed with some of you Chair-shippers ):

Okay I was just trying to say that maybe it wasnt totally rude to Jess but that is the way it sounded for saying Ed is to good for her. For the show I am a CV friendship fan and in no way think it is a threat to my hardcore love for CB and NV love. That is it.

I think it would be great if the unlike aly is Cyrus. He's a lawyer, so it would fit perfectly and he knows a lot about Blair ... and her feelings for Chuck. I think he could open chuck's eyes. I don't like Vanessa character and it isn't because "the most commom" reasons. Vanessa is my favourite character of the book. I love her and Blair. And i was expecting someone like a rocker girl with shaved hair and black boots. And she is so ... normal HAHAHAHAHA! Where is the Vanessa's sarcasm ? I'm so disapointed :/. My favourite couple on the books is vanessa/dan. But the characters are soooo different! That i could ever think these two get together on the tv series HAHAHAHAAH!

Fgs!! This show has ensemble casts, and Vanessa is one of the main character! So for the haters, stop being such a whiny b*tch! I wish Josh can explore the other side of her coz I believe V can be a very interesting character if she gets a proper story line,,

a little note to *TDS* (((feel free to disagree))) nobody it's being rude to jessica... i like her.. she is gorgeous .. a great actress and if she is dating with ed. great for her.. but i just don't like her caracter it's kind of pointless.. and if they put vanessa and chuck togather it's stupid in a ryan tylor way... they simply don't match...
oohh.. and by the way you are missing the point of this tipe of shows...
they make the caracters for you to hate them or love them.. *Josh probably doesnt enjoy is this immaturity and acting like you live in this tv show* i don't think so honney...
and i don't want to sound bitchy but you need a *Reality check*....the all point off the books and the tv shows is that you think that you live in them... the producers and directors never make a show just because... they make a show for you to wish for that life so...think again.. BTW - i really hope that chuck's ally it's dan..
about nate an vanessa i don't know i don't care..they are kind of cute togather. but lets all hope for the best.. and lets hope that the producers don't make of nate a man-whore again...blair she's awesome.. she it's gonna be just fine..
little j.. please ..please..get rid of the make up... and.. serena..uuuhhmm.. lets just say that i'm glad that mr. i'm really old and weird it's not in the picture anymore..

Also I agree with Lulu. DS was the steady couple last season so now it is NVs turn. Then maybe CB will get their turn next season I hope.

I really think Josh is amazing for give us DS,CB,and NV. IMO I think that they are all realistic and deal with issues that 18 kids in love go through. The may want to kill eachother but yet cant live without eachother. These 3 couples make eachother happy no matter what and that is love. Also just cuz CV are friends doesnt mean CB is ruined. We are also getting an NB frienship. There can be both. Good work Josh!

I agree with 'me'. im not posting on this site anymore too. shipper wars are a waste of time. people become too outspoken it creates tension. sheesh...

i dont have a problem with Vanessa
I hated her at the start coz she wasnt over Dan, but now I don't mind her.
She's pretty in an interesting way which is a nice change from the other extremely beautiful people
Besides, after all Nate's been through, don't you think he deserves to be happy?!
The show needs a constant couple: last season it was Dan and Serena, now it's Nate and Vanessa.
The show would become boring if there was no drama, and most people watch the show for the CB drama and the DS will-they-or-wont-they.

Bwahahahaha stupid teacher.
Poor Chuck ):

[to Jenny] That's the thing. You need to be cool to be queen. Anne Boleyn thought only with her heart and she got her head chopped off. So her daughter Elizabeth made a vow never to marry a man. She married a country. Forget boys. Keep your eye on the prize, Jenny Humphrey. You can't make people love you, but you can make them fear you. For what it's worth, you're my Queen. I choose you.
