Gossip Girl's resident fashionista and part-time superhero, Taylor Momsen, strikes a pose on the new cover of Page Six Magazine (from the New York Post).

On a funny side note, the magazine also has an unrelated article called "You've Got Ale," presumably about beer and Super Bowl party beverage options.

Monday's episode of Gossip Girl is called "You've Got Yale."

Anyway, here are some excerpts from Taylor Momsen about ...

... protecting her image: “I don’t leave the house without thinking of how to represent myself. But I’m not a little kid playing dress up. It’s all very real.”

... her favorite fashion designers: “I love Alexander Wang! Oh, and I love Balmain and this new indie designer named Gary Graham. I discovered him; he’s so edgy and different. I like the high-end people - YSL, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana.”

... her reputation as acting a little too grown-up with some of her (older) fellow Gossip Girl cast members: “It’s like, yeah, I’m really going to go to a party with my cast and crew and all the executives at the network and dance on tables. [Tabloids] all want to make me out as this party girl, and I’m not. I’m underage! All I do is sit at home and play guitar. That’s seriously what I do. I’m a Leo. I’ve always been independent, and this is the lifestyle I have grown up with since I was three.”

Um, P!, she didn't apply that makeup, and I take it insultingly that you'd think I'm a jealous no-life with nothing better to do than make fun of Taylor. I think I have the right to post my opinion of her in public, and I don't think that immediately qualifies me to be a hater with a freaking comment. I don't hate Taylor, even if I don't love her. Haha! back at'cha.

Are you all serious? I know the concept is hard to grasp, but maybe she just meant that she discovered the designer as in came across him. Or did that possibility not register in all of your Taylor-hater brains. Of course it wouldn't. You're so ready to judge her you throw logic and common sense out the window, and what are you left with, looking like a total idiot of course. I usually don't comment but I thought anyone who makes a comment about someone they don't even know deserves to hear how stupid, shallow and immature they are.
And to QueenBn'DevilC of course you would know exactly what a fictional character would say. After all you are one the writers of the show if not Cecily von Ziegesar herself.

and for the make-up thing... I have had friends who puts on a lot of make-up when they were her age now, but as they grow older learned that less is more. =) she's still learning and so I guess, everyone who hates her are either her age or someone older who couldn't give her a break because life has been unfair. haha!

LOL. Haters. I am not a fan of Taylor Momsen but it kinda ticks me when haters just couldn't keep their pretty freaking comments to themselves- it's different to give out an opinion and judge someone, just so you know.

The title "POP-CULTURE ICON" is something the magazines has given the three of them (the main cast of GG) so I don't think we could ever catch her red-handed for being conceited and full of herself. =P

And even though I believe that there are a lot of more good-looking than talented actors/actress out there, I have already accepted the fact that most of them COULD ACTUALLY act at some point. Better than the ones who sit at home, bitter about life because of how great an actor they are but couldn't make it because they don't have the looks and the overall package. =D hahah! hard fact to swallow, I guess.

Mention her to anyone outside the GG fandom and no one would have a clue as to who the hell she is.
She most definitely looks like a little girl playing in mommy's makeup.

Since when did T-Moms become a 'pop culture icon'? I don't think it's her fault, and I don't 'hate' her, but seriously, she's fifteen or sixteen or whatever being shot as a Blake-ish character. She looks like a little girl playing with her mom's clothes and hairdryer, and her acting skills are blah.

I know that sounded really mean, and at least Taylor isn't conceited about it, but seriously, all this media coverage is ridiculous.
