American Idol Shocker: Michael Sarver Moves On!
This wasn't on par with Michael Johns or Chris Daughtry being voted off earlier than expected, but we definitely didn't think Michael Sarver's name would be called last night.
The oil rig worker gave a decent rendition of Gavin McGraw's "I Don't Wanna Be" on Tuesday, and we agree with Simon Cowell that he seems like a very nice guy, but did Sarver deserve a spot in the finals over Anoop Desai? Or even Ann Marie Boskovich?
Joining Sarver as the other two highest vote-getters from the week were a pair of obvious selections: Alexis Grace and Danny Gokey.
The ride isn't officially over for Desai, Boskvoich or any other semifinalist: there will be a wild card round this season, during which a trio of contestants will have a second chance to move on to the finals.
Let the campain begin now: Anoop for Wild Card!!!

Thank God he is finally gone! Michael Sarver should never made it into the top 13, let alone the top 10. His performances were an embarrassment to the show and an insult to those sent home before him. It's a shame he will be able to perform on tour.

Michael, I am so sorry that Simon was such a jerk and didn't save you. I have to give you credit for having that beautiful smile the whole time. Go with God and always put him first and he will see you through it all. Best of luck to you and your beautiful family in everything you do. I am from Sulphur, La.and we were pulling for you.

I am not allowed to vote as I live in Dubai... But Michael should be given a chance in his life, this is a very important stage of his life and he deserves to win.
For Dany,he is such a good performer, seems like he attended many voice lessons, he has a stage presence but his voice is not the best you could really hear.

Yep, the oil rig guy was not as good as Anoop or Ann marie. Both should be given a wild card shot, they both have excellent voices. But the voters seem to listen to the judges. In fact, if Simon criticizes, that usually spells a lot of voters to go for someone else. The judges do have their fan clubs who vote the way they think the "expert" judges go. But both Anoop and Ann Marie sang well, but the judges criticized them too much. Ann Marie took a big song, sang it well, and did make it her own, which was actually pretty impressive this early. Anoop's voice is strong. The oil rig guy picked a popular song, but his sounded like karoake a lot more than the ones Simon says sound like that.
