Heroes Round Table: Building 26

Welcome to our 24th Heroes Round Table.

While fans of the show gather in the forums to discuss every character and storyline, our staff comes together every week to analyze the latest developments from the latest episode.

Topics in this edition include: Tracey's fate, HRG's storyline and Daphne. Let's get to the Q&A...

Can Hiro please stop being sent to other countries?
A. Hiro: Seriously. I love Hiro/Ando interaction, but can someone explain to me the point of last night's India trip being such a focus of the show?

Milover: I wanna remain positive, but I truly don't get it. This entire story line was created so Hiro - at the conclusion of it - could realize that he doesn't need an ability in order to be a hero? Did viewers need to be so bored in order for such a lesson to be learned?

Timex: Hey, I'm just happy Hiro's trip took place in this century this time. And that it's over after just one episode. It beats his never-ending adventure in Feudal Japan during volume two.

Is Nathan being naive?
Timex: Yes. Did he really expect to round up his former allies without any blood being shed? Come on, Senator, you're smarter than that.

A. Hiro: He's just being idealistic. Nathan is actually being written well this volume, as he doesn't exhibit pure evil by any means. He sincerely believes that rounding up the Heroes is the best course of action and, yes, he believes this can be done relatively peacefully.

Milover: It does seem short-sighted on Nathan's part that he believed he could go through with this exercise and not arouse the suspicion of Homeland Security. But at least he got a cute agent looking into him!

Does Sylar actually care about Luke?
Milover: Definitely. He'll never admit it, but Sylar is seeking acceptable for who he is. He may not find that with his father, but he's finding it little-by-little with his new protege.

Timex: No way. He's just using Luke for his selfish purposes. I'd be shocked if he survived the volume.

A. Hiro: Yes and no. I think Sylar is beginning to see Luke as someone that gives him purpose. Does he care if Luke lives or dies? No. But does having Luke around make Sylar feel like he's less of a monster? Yes.

Who is Rebel?

A. Hiro: We asked this in a poll question already and I voted for Meredith. No way Claire's bio mom is actually dead.

Milover: Angela. You could tell at the outset of this volume that she was torn over Nathan's plan and whether or not the Heroes deserved to be captured.

Timex: HRG, or someone he's hired for the gig. This way, he can fulfill his role and keep Claire safe, but he can also try to warn those with abilities that he knows don't deserve this fate.

I dont know man im still baffled about one thing. When arthur died there was a glow that emerged from his body. What was that. The glow had to mean something.
The writers are baiting us to something from the India trip. Remember when Hiro had difficulties using his powers because of his confidence and the sword. We know that when Ando zaps him he has his sword. Now that he has his fighters confidence back i think all he needs is his sword. Now... where did I leave that damn thing!

Why did Hiro go to India it was kinda pointless. Heroes can be brilliant but sometimes is a bit silly. I generally have liked it all, The Hiro Feudal Japan stuff was pretty good i thought, but could have been a few eps less. Season 3 was ultimately pointless but i enjoyed the ride. Arthur "should" have been clearly shown as being a real baddass and what he was going to do, was going to be cataclysmic. Instead he was a kind man who may have killed a couple of bad people but just wanted people to have powers?

Glad someone agrees Jason. I have to say though that while I also found Hiro's trip to India totally pointless (I mean how random, nobody but them, seemingly, had powers so what did it have to do with anything?) I'd watch it over and over to see Hiro punch that guy. I'm being totally shallow of course but for me that was Masi's sexiest moment yet this volume (I hope there's more to come), what a delicious hunk! It had a tinge of bad ass Hiro who's just dreamy.

i think that luke will be gone by the end of the volume, how i don't know, also, they won't kill off sylar he is a great character and a fan favorite (if they were going to kill him he wouldn't of come back after being killed by claire)

Well said Sezza80 Everyone totally rag's on Hiro's Feudal Japan trip but absolutely love the character of Adam Monroe... Personally he was one of my favorite characters. Well the reason Adam Monroe was such a popular character was because of the feudal japan trip and how that story came full circle hundreds of years later in the present. Seeing Takezo Kensi walk out from behind the mirror revealing himself as adam monroe was one of the best (and shocking) moments in season two and better than any of these so called Revelations that season 3 has had so far... but people keep ragging on The Feudal Japan trip... the same people who bitched when Adam Monroe was killed in V3. Give it a rest already, especially the writers for this website... You blast the trip, love adam monroe, and then blast his death. yes his death (in my opinion) was the worst (and the horribly written plot device) moment of the show so far. Seriously thou, lay off feudal Japan.. there was a point to it and a DAMN good one… hiro’s india trip was a complete waist of time… Mat Parkmen sends Hiro to india, only to find out he needs to go back to LA to save Parkmen… please Other then that… awesome episode

I'm baffled at people saying Hiro's stay in Japan was 'never-ending', it was only 7 episodes. More annoying was Peter being surrounded by those moronic twerps with their terrible accents in 'Cork'. At least Hiro's story was interesting and led to a brilliant climax (Adam's revenge), plus the characters weren't annoying and grating. Peter's story went nowhere, and was dull (and I love Peter).
I'm so sick of people slagging off Hiro being in feudal Japan, what he did there was important for character development and formed an important plot development for the season (no matter how poorly, if you think that way, it ended).

didn't sylar kill puppet master?

Rebel is The puppet master!

I was gonna say the text are from Rachel Mills because she is on the inside, then I read on NBC's website that Rachel Mills is getting texts from Rebel too.

i kinda like hiro's trips, i'm sure he like them too, the guy is born to teleport (i know he dont have powers any more but so what?) he clearly enjoys traveling, and the latest epi's and spoilers are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heroes Quotes

Ando: And why is everyone always chasing us?
Hiro: Because I'm special.
Ando: Well, I'm not special
Ando: And I'm tired of getting chased.

My power is understanding people like you. That's what I do.
