More Grey's Anatomy Spoilers For Upcoming Episodes

This basically repeats most of the exact spoilers we posted yesterday and in previous weeks, but here's the latest on the Grey's spoiler front from E! today ...

Q: Enough about stupid Izzie already! Any dish on Meredith and Derek who are the whole point of Grey's Anatomy in the first place!?

A: Good news, Mer-Der fans: There's an upcoming ep called "Elevator Love Letter," and you know all of Meredith and Derek's best scenes happen in the elevator! That said, Derek is going to need Mer in the weeks to come - in the next new episode he decides to quit his job after learning exactly how many patients have died under his care. And if you aren't an Izzie fan, you should definitely watch the next episode - the interns diagnose her with something "unsettling." Maybe she just needs a little Pepto-Bismol?

Q: I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but every med student taking neuro right now is going nuts on how textbook Izzie's brain tumor is. Which, while sad, will give us back a little of that beloved Grey's Anatomy drama we all know and love.

A: I'm certainly not one to argue with med students! But I'm also not one to argue with Shonda Rhimes, and she specifically told us "no" when asked if the rumors of Izzie getting a brain tumor were true. See for yourself here. She couldn't have been lying, could she? If you are a Grey's Anatomy viewer who happens to be a med student, doctor and/or brain surgeon (paging McDreamy!), please comment below and give us the skinny. Is Izzie's tumor a lock?

Some of my Uni lecturers are working on 'Dendritic Cell Immunotherapy For Stage IV Melanoma'. They even had patients in complete remission, it would be "awesome" if that was what was wrong with her and that is what "cure" they used hehehee

    (pubmed it if your interested)

bunnysue-- I was thinking some type of malignant melanoma too. And, yes, I have encountered stage 4 malignant melanoma in someone relatively close to me. I know the prognosis. It's next to impossible. But not impossible. And there are new clinical trials for new treatments all the time. Medicine is constantly advancing and the human body can sometimes surprise even the most brilliant doctors!
All I can say is, she'd better survive beyond 3 to 6 mos!!!!

Again, another thing to back up that this is the diagnosis-- I read a spoiler way back that said that all the docs would be working hard for Izzie. Metastatic melanoma with multiple growths within other organs and in her lymphatic system would require more than just a neurosurgeon. Many other surgeons would need to be involved, as well. This would be a very literal interpretation of that spoiler-- fits very well.

    MKathy--
Thank you!!! I needed the sunny side up on that writer's comment so bad!!! I really think you're right, but that comment made me so worried!!! I agree-- even Shonda couldn't dangle this in front of the fans for too long and not give it to us-- she knows how wary MerDer fans got last season and what that meant for the show. I've gotta remember too that PD said that MerDer will finally be together. Period. No more breaking up, right? Thanks for redirecting me right back to the positive MerDer direction!

It's obvious to me it is stage 4 melanoma, mets to brain and lungs if the xrays shown at the end of the last episode are Izzie's, they showed multiple densities in the lungs, and the neuro symptoms are just beefed up a little bit for the sake of drama. This is a great opportunity to educate the public about how insidious a malignant melanoma (a simple mole)can be. The character of Izzie is out of here for sure, and if the show has any integrity to real medicine then they will not let the character survive beyond 3 to six months, certainly not functioning in the hospital.

I love the merder relationship and it would be awsome if she does help him throuh this rough time. God knows that she should cause he has been there for her. But maybe Derrick and Mark patch up there friendship and Mark is the one that helps him heal. I wish they hadn't fought, but I knew it was going to happen. When Derrick found out about Mark and Iittle Grey. There has been spoilers about someone being pregnant and Cheryl is really pregnant, so I think that she is probably going to be pregnant with Marks baby.
