TDS-- thanks for your reply. We definitely can all get along. I agree with you that George and Alex are very different and will have very different reactions-- their life experiences are very different. But George has been a caretaker to his Dad and saw him through his illness (I know this is very different than Alex having to take care of his mother through mental illness when he was way too young) but cancer has already broken George's heart. It will be really hard for George in that sense too.
I really don't want AI fans fighting with Gizzie fans. When it comes down to the basics, we all love Izzie and Izzie loves them both.
It will be fantastic to see how the writers will approach both George and Alex needing to be there for her. I'd love to see the two of them find that common ground and help her together.

I don't want to fight either TDS, but have you forgotten George's dad just died of cancer. What do you think this is going to bring out for him? Izzie is basically his only friend right now since Shonda hates George and refuses to give him any other friend or even true love (well I thought Gizzie had that, but clearly Shonda is too gutless to go back there even though she ahs no problem pursuing the hated Mexie).
But yeah Izzie is EVERYTHING George has. Do you think Alex will let George be there for her or will he again threaten him out of Izzie's life. George loves Izzie enough to let Alex be in herlife, does Alex?
If he lets George be there, then I can like Alex again.
I hope he can prove me wrong in this, because I do love JC and use to like Alex. I'll never like AI but I can like Alex.
As for Mexie, how unprofessional can they geta nd can they have any less chemistry? That kiss was painful.

Ugh that ugly and beautiful line was about the most corniest line ever uttered. How did Chyler say that without throwing up? Maybe she can act after all. I always thought she couldn't with all that stuttering and everything. I can't stand the little idiot. And man, Mark is an idiot. What kind of etacher only teaches the interns he is banging!
Has Lexie with all her unsexiness made him lose every little bit of in telligence he had. I sure know she took his ball.
Most disgusting couple ever!
Alex ahs come off as clueless in this. George tried to talk to Alex and Alex yelled at him never to talk about Izzie again, and I could have slapped him. George in his own words was backing off because he thought Alex was her boyfriend and he would take care of her. Instead he ahs let her get sicker.
George never would have done that.
You act like George's life has been perfect. He is the guy who never felt like he belonged in his jock family, who was dumped at his prom by his girlfrie
No problem, Greysaddiction, I understand. I am an A/I fan, but Alex is my favorite and even I am a little frustrated with him right now. I think that he is a little bit in denial about Izzie and I also think that he is so glad to have Izzie back that he is afraid to rock the boat with her, even to the point that he has is willing to put up with her "fantasizing" about Denny. And that actually makes me really sad for him, as though he is willing to just take the scraps of whatever Izzie has to offer either because he doesn't think he is worthy of more or because a little is better than none.
Anyway, I wish that the writers would have been a little more clear as to what is going on with him, if it is denial or what, because, you're right, otherwise he just looks completely clueless and I don't think he is. I don't believe that he won't be strong enough for her in the end and I certainly don't think that he doesn't care. If the promos for next week are any indication, he is going t
Everyone keeps saying they don't understand why Izzie didn't tell George herself. Well I do. Imagine your best friend, the person you care about, that you empathize with and share with, who supposedly knows you better then anyone else. Now imagine telling that person that you had stage 4 malignant cancer that had spread to your liver, skin and brain. That you probably only had a few months to live. That the treatment was intensive, painful and only gave you a five percent survival shot. Can you imagine telling someone you loved that? Imagine what that would do to your best friend. How heartbreaking it would be. I'm not saying she wouldn't have ever told him, but I'm saying she would have put it off as long as possible, because she didn't want to put that burden off on him. Or really any of them.

Loved it...I enjoyed some really heartwarming parts like when Lexie kissed Mark in front of the other interns, just showing them that what they think doesn't really matter...Mark's face was so priceless after that so I really he doesn't screw it up.
Christina was really sweet when she is working really hard to help Izzie with her cancer but it's really getting old that Izzie is just so dramatic about the whole issue, she's a doctor...she should know that she should get treated.
It's kind of cute how Owen and Callie got depressed with Derek when they came and try to talk him out of his whole quitting thing...and Derek is so out of line when he blames the Chief for being that way but Derek was right, the Chief wants him back for his hospital...
At least Mer didn't give up on Derek, the guy just needed space and all that...and it's good that she told him about Izzie and that he's needed.
I kind of feel really bad for Alex, his face was so tragic when Christina told them that I

TDS-- sorry. I'm sorry. I'm an Alex fan too. I know you're an AI fan. I try so hard not to insult the AI fans, cuz we Gizzie fans know all too well how that feels--- sorry, it was my gut reaction. Really, I was so mad at Alex last night-- Alex made me want to throw things at my TV. During that cafe scene when he was joking about them being all backed up I actually threw a pillow at the TV. Writers choice to make him clueless. It is. I'm sorry about the AI insults. I really am. This is going to be very hard on Alex. Watching his reactions will be intense. I just would have thought he'd have half-way listened to Izzie & Cristina's awkward enema cover-up and actually have half a clue. I mean Mer didn't have a clue b/c she's been knee deep in Der's stuff. I hate drawing the line of comparison b/t GI and AI, but sometimes it's really hard not to do and when I wrote last night I was so tired and I really was bawling. And I really don't get why the writers didn't write Izz

I think Izzie and George, Mer and Der have been done pretty well on this thread, so I just wanted to go over what I thought of some of the other interactions last night.
Firstly, Sloan and Lexie. I was so blown away by them last night. The speech she gave him at the end, saying that people may think they are ugly, but she thinks they are beautiful, was so amazing. They are a couple that is representing all the couples who people think shouldn't be together, and showing it can work. I am glad that Shonda is running with that story, because its slowly but surely getting to be really good.
George and Meredith, it was great to see them back on screen together. Not sure I really care about the interns sex lives but the way they handled it was so much fun to watch. Good cop, bad cop, neither really wanting to know. Just great!
Callie, Owen and Derek was great. Three surgeons that never really share any screen time. But they shared a common problem, and now they know it. You kinda k

This is the ending: "We are forced to know that life, every minute, is borrowed time. And each person we let ourselves care about is just one more loss somewhere down the line. For this reason, I know some doctors who just don't bother making friends at all. But the rest of us, we make it our job to move that line. To push each loss as far away as we can."

Didn't see the previous post until now, but T.R. was in an accident?! Did he cause it? He looked like he was just a witness or something O_O
Great, and I'm in driver's ed, too. Now I'm freaked out over T.R.'s safety and my studies LOL
Please stop comparing George's reactions to Alex's and calling Alex a crappy boyfriend. They are completely different people with different life experiences. Yes, George noticed that something was wrong with Izzie and then dropped it. He recently asked her if something was wrong again and she didn't want to talk about it and he didn't force her to tell him. Alex has asked Izzie repeatedly to let him and to tell him what is going on and she won't so he dropped it too.
Alex just can't win. When he is sweet he is out of character and when he isn't he is an abusive jerk. This is going to be hard for him. Izzie is the only person he has ever loved (George told Meredith and Callie that he loved them before Izzie). I am a big George fan and I want him to be involved in the storyline too and I miss the Gizzie friendship, but he and Alex are different people and I hate coming on here and seeing Alex run down all the time.

This was, by FAR, the BEST episode of the ENTIRE season! I am SO impressed by this. I'm so proud of Izzie for decided to fight the cancer. I love how ALL FIVE of them were together in the end. I absolutely adore that. I love the direction this is taking. GEORGE GOT SCREEN TIME! It's just like the earlier episodes. It's bringing back memories. Sadly my VCR had to be retarded because of a stupid HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL GAME running late, so I don't have the whole episode on tape to rewatch...thankfully ABC will have it for a few weeks. Sorry, I am just so blown away by this episode. I am so impressed. I'm really proud of whoever wrote this one. It's very good. Or maybe I'm just on a high from all the George, Izzie's decision, Cristina's first solo surgery and that dude getting a face transplant. I love how Meredith kept acting like Bailey. That was comical. Wow, I just love this episode...
