Heroes Episode Guide, Photos, Quotes & More from "Shades of Gray"

While this episode of Heroes helped moved the story along - Nathan and Claire are both on the run, along with the rest of their friends; while Sylar has a new mission - there was at least one significant plot hole:

Claire helped Doyle simply because the mysterious Rebel said she should? It's nice to see a proactive, motivated Claire and all... but perhaps it's a bad idea to aid in the escape of someone specifically labeled a "villain" and captured for his evil ways just last volume.

This is the latest example of the show seemingly making things up as it goes along, erasing the actions of characters from previous volumes and having them act in whatever way is most appropriate at that moment, as called for in the script.

We'd love to have someone write in and tell us why we were supposed to be rooting for Claire in her mission to assist Doyle.

Read our full, slightly frustrated recap of this "Shades of Gray" now. We're trying to stay positive, but the story continues to fly in numerous directions, none of which the writers seem to have thought about until about five minutes ago.

Yeah im sorry but the news poster for this is being moronic the whole point was to test Claire's resolve in her new cause does she want to help 'her kind' or does she only want to help those she likes.

Doyle may be dangerous but honestly if you looked like him and lived the kind of life he supposedly lived and all of a sudden found you could do what he could do you really think you would be any better? Hell the argument could be made that Doyle's power used in any way is inheritly wrong.

As has been said the episode was called shades of grey for a reason!!!

Totally agree with Michael, who said we were supposed to be rooting for her? Rebel has saved people shecared for before, and Claire is obviously someone who would want to save someone, regardless of moral issues. Who is she to play god? This site sometimes comes up with some of the worst theories and ideas ever. Heroes fanatic it is called, not Heroes bashing.

I think we are seeing Claire finally getting invested in a cause and how she must be if she is dedicated to it. Like HRG, who she has issues with because of his willingness to do things "morally grey", she is showing that is she really wants to help other specials she is going to have to enter the world of "morally grey" in order to be fully committed to her "cause". She is becoming more and more like dad.

Who said we were meant to be rooting for her?

She obviously trusts Rebel. That doesn't mean we have to agree with her actions, even if *she* thought they were the right thing to do.

Because Peter knows how to control when takes an ability or simply shakes your hand. Also this episode was called "Shades of Gray". Doyle did say he changed but maybe not. It is the risk one takes is they are going to save the world. You can't stop and ask for a background check. Also the guy in the comic book store laid it out. Are you the kind of Hero that just acts or do you get to know the whole picture before you act. Well she justed acted. And she looked conflicted. This episode was perfect.

In the first episode of this arc, Peter simply touches a person and he gets their power immediately until he touches someone else and he gets the new power.

When he flew in and saved Parkman at the hotel, why didn't he stop flying and start mind reading?

    Consistency would be nice.
