When I saw this my mouth automaticly opened lol. For the past couple months she has been getting fuller in the face and has been covering her stomach more often. Well congrats for ellen and chris!!

most likely the baby will look like halle berry's daughter nahla. halle has parents of both colors and her huspand is white, and in this case i've read that chris also has one of both(i'm not really sure, but anyway). so the baby could have a little darker skintone with blue eyes, but it could also get the same skinetone as ellen's or the same as chris's, it depends on which genes it gets. not that it matters how the baby will look like, it'll be just as cute in any skintone

My god, nothing against skinny ppl, but...she's a bit over the edge. I feel like I should cook for her. And I don't even cook...
But I'm real glad she's pregnant!!!! Goes to show that we should all see just how human actors are ^.^

I really want them to write it in, too, and think that Patrick Dempsey's comment about there being a union of some sort fits perfectly, but I don't quite see how they are going to manage it sequentially... I mean, it looks like she is already 4 or 5 months pregnant which would mean that she could be due at the beginning of september. How are they suddenly going to jump nine months into the future in the show when two years haven't even passed in the last 5 seasons??? Like six months would have to pass between seasons five and six which would throw all the story lines off. But I'm really curious to see how this plays out and can't wait for a McBaby!!!

If they do write it into the show, I think MerDer is getting married this season. Because if they wait with the wedding till season 6 she will already have a big belly and I think they'll get married much sooner than that. You know, when she can still fit the dress and everything. And when asked about a baby in the future after the wedding, Patrick said Yeah I think defennitely. So I think they will get married first, this season, and then have the baby like a cliffhanger or something. Well, if they do write it into the show.

Conratulations to Ellen and Chris! I am absolutely thrilled and delighted for the happy couple!
I was thinking... I know Chyler Leigh is also expecting, but they're not writing her pregnancy into the show. They did, however, do that when Chandra Wilson had her third baby. I remember having read that somewhere. Considering Meredith is the main character on the show, it would be a bit weird if they didn't write Ellen's pregnancy into the show.
But anyways, congratulations once again to Ellen and Chris!

I remember during an interview with patrick when he was asked whether mer and der will tie the knot, he answered that there was going to be a wedding at the end of the yr, a union of some sort. So assuming the wedding rumors are true that alex & izzie are the ones getting married instead of mer/der, then maybe this is the union they are speaking of too!! i can hope and wish that they are gonna write in the mcbaby.

But, for Mer/Der I'm wishing for a healthy,happy baby girl. Name Cristina Ellis Shepard!!! Hopefully the pregnancy will be written into the story line. Hell, I already wrote this part of the story during season 4. (in my mind) This is the first child of (3) for Mer/Der!! ( in my mind) I'm SOoo HAPPY I could just cry!!!

i'm definitely thinking that they'll write it in, seeing as how they'll still be filming by the time she has the baby. that way she can take the necessary maternity leave from sgh and not be terribly missed.
