George and Izzie were the greatest couple. They were perfect.
I want George to be happy, so I could accept him with someone else. I just think he and Izzie would have been the best option.
I don't get why Shonda dropped them because of the haters. There are a lot of Gizzie fans too, and we really love them.
Why did she just ignore us like that? She didn't even gave us friendship scenes.
George should have been with Izzie during the cancer story. It makes no sense.
I hate the writers and Shonda for taking even that away from us.

Same here. I'd rather Izzie die than George. The only way I would be ok with George dying though would be if he and Izzie died together.
I always thought they were the most magical couple and should be together forever too.

I do NOT want George to die. He's my all time favorite character on the show. Izzy shouldn't die either, but I think she should if George does, because I've always been a fan of the George/Izzy together forever thing.

I'm obsessed with George too lately. It's all I talk about. It makes my boyfriend crazy. Thankfully I have friends who are as obsessed with George as I am.
I just keep thinking about him on that bed, his face all trashed, hearing those awful things about him by his so-called friends.
Then the 007.
Then him looking so beautiful in the end in his uniform.
I think about how cute he was imitating Bailey, and how funny he was.
I just am not ready to say goodbye, not after getting only bits of him all season.

I can't stop thinking about George either. I never get that invested in a character, but there's something so special about George.
He's the kind of guy I would love to be. He's the one guy we guys can relate to in this show.
It really annoys me that Shonda always gives crap to the one nice guy on the show.
Also putting another actor would be stupid. TR has become George in every way.

Even now, after weeks since it's finale i can't stop thinking about TR and his future on Grey's, all these years I've been learning, taking lessons from him, from Izzie, it's cruel what they've done to them, it will be much crueler to kill them, it will cruel to everybody, except for Shonda and writers, prove us that this is not only business, prove that filming is the same as making art!!! George is like a color from a rainbow, this show without won't be the same, i know for sure that i won't have enough strengths or powers (sorry for my english) to watch it, if TR stop his activity being hit by a bus then I'm done here! To bad because Grey's was a good show , if you want a future tense then change your policy.

If George leaves, I'm gone. I use to love the whole show, but the last two seasons, I only have loved George.

I think it's funny how the show originated around the FIVE interns and their journey to get ahead in their medical career, and now there may be THREE left. It doesn't sound like the Grey's Anatomy I used to know.

ER and GA have a different focus on it's characters' lives that made it possible for ER actors to exit and not send the show into irreparable damage. In GA case it might not be the same case since the show has a big focus on the character's lives and professional challenges.
ER made a good balance in its character's personal life and professional life. They didn't have a big focus on the personal life during the time they were in the hospital (or so I perceived). Grey's has made it a litte bit more personal that the exit of any character may make the loss more devastating than ER's case.
ER survived ten seasons more after George Clooney's exit but I felt that his storyline had become tiring. They were trying to make George's exit inevitable. Heartbreaking but inevitable nonetheless. Once Mark Greene died, everyone felt the reeling but moved on since it was Carter's moment to shine. They had a good continuity.

I can’t believe you people. As Cristina would say, people, people, seriously get a life.
In the original Charlie’s Angel TV series, Farrah Fawcett was the big hype just like Katherine Heigel. Farrah was the least talented of the three, just like Kathryn Heigel, and Jacquelyn Smith and Kate Jackson continued on after Farrah made her big exit. Charlie’s Angel survived without her for a few years with Cheryl Ladd, Shelley Hack, and Tanya Roberts with new characters and story lines.
I might add that George Clooney was very popular on ER and he was missed when he left, however, ER went on for several years without him. Many wonderful actors left ER, even our most beloved Mark Greene-Anthony Edwards, but due to the first rate production staff and writers, it continued to be a first rate drama series with different actors and different story lines.
I for one am ready to move on with Shonda Rhimes without Kathryn Heigel and TR Knight on to the next season as the remaining act

I'd much rather Izzie leaves. She got to be a surgeon, get married. She had her dreams come true.
What did George have? Nothing.
He has so much left to do, and there's so much more story to tell with him than Izzie.
I'd rather she die, or that George and Izzie died together. That way we Gizzie fans could get our couple.
I don't want to see Izzie live on without George. I'm fine with George living without her, but not the opposite.

So what? Izzie got her story told. Now it's George's turn. He waited two years for it.
I'm a Gizzie fan, and I used to love Izzie. Not anymore. Alex and the Izzie anatomy show has made me hate her.
She's so boring now and so damn self-centered.
Her story is finished.
George is way more interesting to me, and he has so much left to do.
Let Katie become the big movie star and give TR his chance to shine.
He's the most amazing actor on Grey.
He leaves, I'm gone.
If she kills him, she's going to lose so many fans. Recasting him also won't go well at all.

I don't think they'll let George live because his recovery would take up a major part of the next season and this, to a great extent, would be a bit repetitious to Izzie's storyline this season (of course, there are major differences, but the core is the same- one of the main (?) doctors on the show turns into a patient). Moreover, if they let Izzie live, we would have both characters lying in hospital's beds. I don't think this is going to happen.

I think Izzie is gone and George will live. Her heart stopped earlier than George's so he cannot wait for her in heaven or he cannot be dead yet. Izzie really died when she entered the elevator which is taking her to heaven, maybe even to Denny. But on her way there the elevator stopped for George. Since he did not get into the elevator he will survive. Izzie has a sad and confused face because she cannot believe George is dying too. She will stop him from entering the elevator so he can live. Unfortunately I think T.R. Knight is gone, and they will get a new actor who can play George since his face is damaged (just like Eva's was). Izzie and George(played by T.R.) are my favorite characters so this is all very sad. GA will not be the same without Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight. I think I may just watch the beginning of the next season just to see what happened and if they are gone I will not continue.

Facial, good connection to it. Shonda does like symmetry so maybe she basically told us from the beginning and none of us noticed!
Izzie dying makes more sense than George dying. George is unfinished. I still think that we could have a lot more told about George than about Izzie. Like Freddie said, the cancer storyline was THE storyline of S.5 and they squeezed it to the last minute. IF she does live, her cancer story is going to have to be pushed back for a little. However, if George lives, this could be a fronline storyline on his recovery. I'd like to see that.

Ok...so Shonda said that the season opener would link back to the season finale. Derek was hit by a bus while driving and he died in Meredith's dream, so I'm pretty sure that George got hit by a bus and will die because of it...

I always thought O'mally was borring in Grey's. But I truly feel sorry for the fans that loved him.
Selfish enough I hope this is true, cause that means Izzie might stay.
