I have to agree with all of you. I am sad to see that Shonda and producers have chosen to keep Izzie. Quite frankly, I was hoping both characters died. I'd love to see how the rest of the staff deals with the lost of friends and colleagues. It would have made for excellent TV.
If this will not happen, I hope Izzie grows. The character is sickening and naive. It's hard to believe that people are really like Izzie. Allow her to grow up and be a good wife to Alex. He deserves it after dealing with mentally ill women (including his wife!)

If Izzie lives that will be unfortunate. That character has become completely annoying. Additionally, that story line is very predictable. I really hope, if Izzie is in the first couple of episodes, that Shonda and crew have the balls to kill her off and build Karev's charater around surviving the death of his spouse. Less Izzie time and more Alex time please. All of us are not die hard Izzie fans.

I cried the entire season 5:(:( but it was a real GOOD and STRONG scenario...buttom line : IM GLAD IZZI is backkk!!!she's adorable with Alex and everyone else!!

dude george now that i think of it has had sex with everyone on the freaking show....what more could they write about? him falling in love with christina?!?!? lol. izzie isn't done yet, she still has to recover, and she still has her daughter, and i bet she gets pregnant this season!

Ugh, can't stand Izzie or the mediocre actress that plays her. Would have been better to kill both George and Izzie simultaneously and make room for more stories centering on Bailey, Arizona, Callie, MerDer, Christina, Owen, Chief,etc.

Not happy at all. I much rather have Izzie dying than George. Izzie is finished. She lived, fell in love, got her big wedding. She's done. George isn't. He still has a lot to tell and a lot to go. Sucks. I think that George's recovery could've been a really excellent storyline.
I really hope that this doesn't turn into Steven's Anatomy. I don't think I can take more of this cancer storyline. It's not so believable anymore.

I'm happy she's staying. She brought more to the show this year and she deserved to stay. I'm sad that T.R. is leaving, but if someone had to go, I'm glad it was him.

I am glad Izzie is coming back, or should I rather say, I am glad, the current spoilers are going that way, that she is staying on for another season! The show wouldn't be the same without her! In a way Izzie is much more a more characteristic and dominant charachater than Meredith!

Izzie needs a redesign. She is concerned with unimportant things. Her character would be better suited to come out of this and grow into a more serious character like a life trauma would really do. Meredith has changed and so should Izzie, she gets on my nerves, but I think she could grow to be the award winning character she desires off-screen. KG is a better actress than Izzie lets her be. TR make an amazing stage exit, don't mess it up. I was really shocked and amazed, excellent writing and his character I will miss because he was growing into a serious player and exited like one. Sometimes this is a really really great show. Sometimes.

First of all....I LOVE IZZIE AND KATHERINE HEIGL and I loved, loved, loved "Izzie's Anatomy" last season.
In my eyes, she's truly "the heart and soul of Grey's Anatomy"
and I was really sad at the end of season 5, because I really thought "this is it"
But now that I know that's she will return, it's kinda bittersweet.
Over the last few weeks, I watched season 5 again en episodes 11-18 like 3 times now(yeah no life haha) and I was suprised that I (slowly) came to terms with her dying...I thought the cliffhanger was beautifully done, and she had closure...and she was with George. I love them together.
I really believe Alex isn't good enough for her. Why? Hello, episodes 5.01 tot 5.04 and even more! Not even talking about the other seasons! ASSHOLE. I was really upset and kinda pissed that she went after him anyway. I hope they break up, Izzie finally realizing he's an ass.
But I do hope Alex gets his love of his life to. But it seems he needs to deal with his past firs

Yeah!!!!!! Izzie is back! I am soooo happy that Katherine Heigl is staying for another season. Its sad that George is leaving but the fact that Izzie is staying is so great! I can NOT wait for the season premire in september im already counting down the days!!!!

Awesome that Katherine Heigl is staying with the show. She's a rock star and at the core of the show. Sorry about TR. We can look forward to more great acting and story lines.

I am so happy she stays on the show!!!! she's my favorite character and actress. I hope the next season premiere will start in the elevator to see her say goodbye to george. it's gonna be so heartbreaking. I think season 6 will be a very sad season for every character and especially for izzie. she lost her best friend( another dead guy in her life)

I was hope for her to leave the show. Izzie is the most annying character on the show and all the fuss that's always made about her. The stupid Izzy-Denny-ghost storyline, there are no works how much that sucked. Thinking about it, all storyline involving Izzie suck. I can't stand her and I'm so happy for the fast forward button.

George had no screen time in season 4. Dercook, tons of us love Gizzie and hate AI. I'd rather Izzie die and be with George so they could be together too. It'd be better than to see her and Alex, yuck.
Iff I had pick one to die, I'd pick Izzie though. George had one big season, season 3. Izzie is on all the time.
She has always had the big stories. George didn't take time away from MerDer, Izzie, Shonda's pet, does.
Be prepared, MerDer fans, Izzie is Shonda's lead actress in her eyes.
And AI not MerDer the main couple.
Heck, who cares? Without George, i'm gone anyway.

and as much as izzie is my favorite character lets try and get less screen time this season. ONLy because george basically had all the screen time in season three and four and look what happened to his character... they ran out of stuff to write. would hate to see izzie go down the drain. im so excited

guys! people survive from cancer everyday! 5% doesn't seem like alot but it is to these patients. there's no way they would kill izzie off because then the show would be just boring. i actually think they are going to jump like a year so that everyone will be over the george death thing, and izzie wil be healed. there's no way they are making izzie a ghost this season. i'm so happy, but bummed about george. it was a good exit though :( showed what kinda dude he was.

I was kind of hoping both Izzie and George would leave and then the show would be refresheed in a way. George is going, ok i guess, even before the drama started behind the scenes, George's story was kind of getting weaker and weaker after his divorce with Callie. If Katherine Heigl comes back, then maybe she'll be a ghost because then why would you give her such huge moments in the past season with the cancer and the wedding on the 100th episode only to have it all just end up leading to her being okay. If she does come back maybe it'll be like a Deny thing, except she's the ghost. But i think the show could do without both characters, no offence.
