T.R. Knight Scores Another Broadway Role

T.R. Knight is headed to the Great White Way!

The ex-Grey's Anatomy star, who earlier this month confirmed that he was leaving the ABC drama, has signed on to star in the upcoming Broadway revival of Lend Me a Tenor.

Knight will play the role of Max in the classic farce, which is being directed by Stanley Tucci and is scheduled to open in February 2010. Sounds like a great role for him.

Additional casting will be announced in the coming weeks.

Prior to joining the cast of Lend Me a Tenor, Knight will headline a production of Jason Robert Brown's Tony-winning play Parade at Los Angeles' Mark Taper Forum.

Glad to see T.R. returning to the stage. We wish him the best!

Can we have our George back?
felt horrible when Kutner from House died few months ago but we didnt get a chance to get attached to his character
But George, he was there since season 1 and now he is leaving the show forever. Cant imagine Grey's Anatomy without 007.
I'm glad he is getting on with his life, but how are we going to manage without George?

I'm so happy for him, but I'm still crying over losing my George. I never cried over a TV character before, but this is George. Our George.

Girlfriend and I are going to come from Canada to see him. This looks like a great play. We're very happy for him.

Happy for him.

I'm gonna see him for sure :] Woahh, it would be awesome if I met him... :]

Yippee! I come from Toronto, but I'm definitely going to New York this February. TR in a comedy, finally! Not that he doesn't do drama well, but seeing him die in everything was starting to depress me. He's so talented. I hope he keeps getting roles. I am going to miss him so much on Grey.

NY!! Woohoo!!! I'm going to try to get down there to see him! I know he's going to rock Broadway.
Congrats to you, TR! You are so unbelievably talented and I'm happy to know that you have earned these opportunities to show this talent to the world.
I only wish I could make it to LA in the fall...

I'm so proud of him! Yes, a drama and a comedy. He's just showing off his amazing range, something TR hasn't let him do all season long.

And he continues to make me proud! I'm so happy for him. He's such an amazing actor, and I'm really glad that he's able to star in these productions and show the world how great he is.

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

There's a reason I said I'd be happy alone. It wasn't 'cause I thought I'd be happy alone. It was because I thought if I loved someone and then it fell apart, I might not make it. It's easier to be alone, because what if you learn that you need love and you don't have it? What if you like it and lean on it? What if you shape your life around it and then it falls apart? Can you even survive that kind of pain? Losing love is like organ damage. It's like dying. The only difference is death ends. This? It could go on forever.

If I did my job well, it's not because people listened to me. It's because they believed in me. Believed that I knew them well enough and believed in them enough to tell them how and when to use their brilliance.
