It must be difficult to aggregate opinions and emotions to start the 6th. season of Gray's Anatomy,
after the scenes that finished the 5th season. What I know and feel that Dr. George O'Malley Dr. Izzi and Stevens
are two of the most popular actors of the series here in Brazil, and his absence will be difficult
next season - if the rumors that both were outside the next season, and the series, are true.
In Brazil, the medicine is corporate, it is sometimes cold and impossible to be understood in
the language of caring, but Gray's Anatomy has the possibility of the routine medical prism be
seen by another, more human, so that TR Knight and Katherine Heigl stage the doctors concerned
and emotional, capable of engagement with patients, that any sick person in his quest / s doctor / s.
Two out of the series? It will be difficult to imagine, Shonda Rhimes.

I think that Owen will probably have to go back to the shrink after George has died cause he is going to feel responsible for his death. Cause had he not talked George into going to the army. George would still be alive. Just my thoughts.

4 years med school, 5 years of residency, then if they're lucky they get to do a Fellowship, I guess that's 2/3 years? So 7/8 years at SGH.
Transitions for characters:- two newly married couples, well one really, but did they have a wedding licence? Bailey a single mom wearing attending blue and Sloane moving out of a hotel room.
Speculation:- Is Callie studying for a fellowship? Alex, Iz and Lex moving out of Mer's house. The chief reading ALL of Ellis Grey's diaries and finding out something Meredith doesn't know!Derek winning the HarperAvery and acknowledging Meredith's idea!Sloane finding someone other than Lex. A new cardio surgeon. Bailey, Alex and Derek having surgery at SGH (all the other original characters have had surgery).A whole season with none of the SGH Drs NOT having surgey.
Some of my suggestions are 'tongue in cheek'.

Without MERDER I just wont watch Grey's Anatomy, they deserve they happy ending, and even that I adore Patrick Dempsey I would love that his character follows Mer, I think that would be great.
Get Back Dr. Burke, it would be great that he get to see how much has changed Christina now.
That would be a very interesing thing to watch.

I think that this is crazy! I love character driven dramas, which is what Grey's is. And, I would rather have the show end than have it last 20 years and not have our PD, or EP.
I agree with the person above said, "No Mer, no Der, no ME". I love this show, but I think poor Shonda may be freaking out a little bit! I just hope it doesn't ruin our Grey's!!!!

Meredith and Derek are the soul of this show..They can't be out..It will be at least boring without their love story..And of course Lexie can't be the GREY ...

@MKathy - I totally agree with you and I felt better after reading your comments about this whole Shonda thing.
@AiLing - You brought up some very good points as well. Also, Chyler has THREE kids and there was no mention of doubting her ability to juggle both.
Let's just hope Shonda reads these comments!!!

The reason the Chief said 7 years is because a general surgery residency is between 5 and 7 years. Some can finish residency at the 5th year, but some need the 6th or 7th year. Also, the 7th season is not necessarily mean it's their 7th year, we're in season 6 and it's either at the end of their 2nd year or at the beginning of their 3rd. The seasons do not correspond to in-timeline years.

I don't know if you meant this or not, but saying that TR is "great even though he is gay" is a back-handed derogatory statement. That's like saying, "oh yea, he's great even though he drowns puppies."
The way you phrased that statement is saying despite TR's huge negative (being gay), he still has a positive (being great).

Yes, why is Shonda assuming that Ellen would want to leave the show once she has the baby? Chyler is now juggling between motherhood and Grey's and it seems like she's doing fine. If Chyler and do it, so can Ellen. Even though I know Ellen has more work to do on the set as the main character, but still....
Don't underestimate womens' abilities to juggle!

As a character I don't think Lexie is pivotal to GA, they would have to build up her profile for Lexie to be the Grey of GA. If Meredith leaves, I won't be watching anymore

My heart sunk when I read all this last night.
Then it occured to me that Chyler had a baby at the beginning of May, and she has 2 other children. Shonda doesn't seem to be attributing any of these conflicts to her or Chandra (and her 3 children).
I would never watch be able to watch GA without Ellen playing Meredith. I would find it hard if Derek was there without Meredith. To me MerDer are essential to GA. Lexie hasn't been through all the traumas that Meredith has, and I think Lexie is a WYSIWYG person. There are more interesting layers to Meredith.
If Ellen takes her maternity leave entitlement I'll be happy/sad. Happy Ellen is looking after herself and her family; but sad cos GA will feel empty without Meredith.

Yeh i think its a real shame that T.R Knights gone. He was like one of my favourite characters! I thought he was great even tho he is Gay! He was so funny and charming! And he should have had more ait time!!! Its there loss that hes gone!
And It wont be greys anatomy without the characters now! It would be so hard to picture them! And keep up with the story.
It would be ashame if there was no more GA!
Despite T.R leaving im glad Kathrine Hiegl stayed! I loved them two together even tho they have had a rocky Friendship. They were wicked together! SO funny! Made us laugh all the time! even tho one has left there still some of the puzzle left even tho there some pieces missing you still get the picture! Just look at the box lol. But annywhoo!
