Grey's Anatomy Spoilers: A New Side of the Chief
What's going on with the frequently embattled Chief this season on Grey's Anatomy? Here's an excerpt from E! Online's spoiler Q&A today about that very subject ...
Q: Any Grey's Anatomy scoop?
A: James Pickens Jr. says, "The Chief has some really interesting stuff coming up this season."
"There's a part of his personal life that viewers haven't seen yet, and it's going to be very intriguing, but I think they're going to really like what's going to happen."
What do you suppose that could mean?
As far as how George's death is going to affect everyone, Pickens says, "Each person is touched in a different way. Everyone is affected. [T.R. Knight] was an integral part of the cast, and one of the more talented guys I've worked with, so I wish him well."
And in case you're wondering, sources tell us that Chandra Wilson is already in "prep" for her directorial debut, which is set for either episode six or seven.

If the secret son is 30 that would make Mer even older than I had calculated her to be. She went to Europe when she was 25 and then went to med school, 4 years, 2years internship so far would make her 31 /32. Mer has got to be 5/6 years older than any other child of Ellis'

Lorretta Divine is Adele the chief's wife. And she is awsome. And no I don't think that the son is going to be a hoax. Not long ago Grey's was looking for a 30 something bi-racial man to play a part. So I think that Mer just might have a brother:)

Hmmm I think it will be interesting to see a son between the chief and mer's mom. Whoever said that they wanted Mer to be the chief's child that can't even happen. We all know that mer isn't mixed. But I love the relationship the 2 of them have. He is sorry that he didn't stand up for her when she was a child. But he still loves her. The chief is a good man. I think he loves her more than her own parents do/did. Mer hasn't had and easy life. Her mom wasn't ever there for her and her dad was a drunk. So it is good to see her trusting Derrick and loving him finally. I was just thinking during her leave to have the baby. They might have mer take some time away to figure out if she really wants to marry Der to figure out how much she loves him. Then when she gets back have this really nice wedding. Oh we got to have a wedding or I'm going to be depressed. LOL!!! The post-its was so cute and sweet. But I need a big wedding with pretty dresses in a churchy church:)...LOL!!! Yeah I"m obessed

Sorry, a bit confused, but who is Lorreta Divine?
Maybe Ellis was pregnant when she cut her wrists. She was at the end of her residency and went off to Boston to do her fellowship. A five year old child could be sent off to stay with relatives. But I'd rather the secret son was a hoax being pulled by Shonda.Remember all those other hoaxes?

I'm just wondering if the chief has a difficult time whether he'll stay sober. How would you explain to a wife who put up with an affair that ran for several years cope with finding out about her husband having a child as a result of affair?

Meredith is Thatcher's daughter. Remember that ackward dinner party (after Mer's mum died) where Thatch was proudly boasting how like his granddaughter was to an old photo he had of Molly. Susan knew he was wrong. Meredith pointed out the picture was of her and described what she was wearing.
I'd rather Rhichard was Meredith'd honory father than Thatch. It'd be nice for Adele to have some sort of relationship with Meredith too. She's knew Mer as a baby

I think the diaries will be the device (if the secret son scenario is true) by which the chief will read about Ellis' pregnancy with his child? The mini- mes. Oh it's just ocured to me that there could be a son of a very famous female surgeon again. Hope Mer is up to finding more blood relatives whilst at SGH; she thought she was an only child for about thirty years.

why are people saying that, that is merediths half brother. if it was wouldnt mereith have known because im sure that their not the same age! but i do agree with you mer has enough half people in her life.

And I think Loretta Divine's schedule is now more free to make appearances at Grey's since Eli Stone was canceled. She was a series regular at the show so I'm sure it was difficult for her to make guest appearances at Grey's.

Ellis never had any children after Meredith. The career she had as a single parent didn't facilitate having any other children other than Mer.
