Jenna Dewan Steps Up to a Role on Melrose Place

While Channing Tatum is making a big name for himself at the box office this summer with G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, his new wife is doing okay for herself, as well.

Jenna Dewan, best known professionally for her role in Step Up, has landed a role on Melrose Place.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the actress will portray a young movie studio executive who makes a move on Jonah (Michael Rady) this fall. She'll appear in at least two episodes, as her character is described as an "ivy league graduate, wickedly sexy and wickedly smart."

Melrose Place premieres on September 8 on The CW.
