A "Beloved Character" To Be Attacked on Desperate Housewives

It's not exciting enough that Drea de Matteo has joined the cast of Desperate Housewives.

Creator Marc Cherry has a suspenseful plan in place for the central plot of season six.

"I've come up with my own version of 'Who Shot J.R.'?" Cherry told Entertainment Weekly, referring to the iconic Dallas storyline that was also copied by The Simpsons in the mid-90s, when it was revealed that Maggie shot Mr. Burns.

On Sunday's premiere, a "beloved character" will be attacked, Cherry said, creating a season-long mystery regarding the culprit. The Bolen family will be prime suspects.

Viewers can also look forward to the following developments on "Nice is Different Than Good."

  • Lynette hides her pregnancy from her boss;
  • Bree discovers her "sexuality in a major way;"
  • Fans will learn, within the episode's opening minute, whether Susan or Katherine married Mike.

Desperate Housewives Quotes

Dr. Barr: Hey there. I was surprised to hear you wanted a session.
Bree: Well, there's nothing like being tied to a bed to change a girl's mind.
Dr. Barr: What do you wanna talk about?
Bree: Anything at all. As you said, I...I have a lot of issues.
Dr. Barr: Well, I assumed as much when you told the ridiculous story about your daughter running off with a murderer.
Bree: Saw right through that, did ya?
Dr. Barr: Well, I'm a trained professional, Bree. The human mind is my playground.
Bree: Well, I'm glad that you're having fun.

(to dead body) "Tu me manques, Monique" ("I Miss You Monique").
