Q: I saw the first five minutes of the Grey’s Anatomy premiere on YouTube. Is there a chance George isn’t dead? Lexie seemed pretty convinced of this!
A: Yes, there’s a chance. A really, really small chance. Tiny. See where I’m going with this?
Q: So now that Katherine Heigl is adopting a child from Korea, does that re-explain producers’ decision to let her off the hook for five episodes of Grey’s Anatomy?
A: That’s not what I’m hearing. As I originally reported, all indications are that she’s taking off to make that Greg Berlanti movie. By the way, I’m now hearing that the five episodes Katherine will be missing may not be consecutive.
Q: Can I please have a Grey’s Anatomy scoop?
A: You may. The looming shakeup at Seattle Grace will have everyone fearing for his/her jobs. That includes Cristina, who is forced to consider the unthinkable: a career in pediatrics.

Having just spent the weekend watching S5's dvd, there are a couple more references regarding 007.
George himself says he's no longer 007 when he seeks Cris out to say why he should do the first solo surgery (I'd forgotten that one)
The second one was when Callie and Bailey plan the intervention to stop George joining the army. Mer,Cris and Alex are eating. Alex calls George 007, and I think it was Alex who initiated the name in S1 episode 1

They mentioned George being called 007 in the first half of the season finale.
Shonda doing her George is still alive thing with Lexie is just needlessly cruel to George fans.

Thanks, Daniel. Good Lord, the 007 is a detail I just didn't remember. Gees, if it wasn't more than a once or twice thing, I wouldn't remember after multiple seasons or just flat didnt' think much of it. Thank you, thank you!!!

I'm wondering with the amalagamation of SGH and MWH if cardio is transfered to MWH.(I can't be bothered to write Mercy West Hospital if Seattle Grace Hospital uses it's initals. There's going to be someone Owen knows as a new doc, what's the odds of this person being a cardio god. Also i'm thinking of Mer doing general surgery, just in case we get way too much MerDer.

cindy, in the very first episode of greys george was picked by burke to do the first intern surgery and he choked so all the other interns called him 007 - license to kill.

This comment is really a burning question. I must have missed or forgotten the connection, but how did Meredith know "John Doe" was George when he wrote 007? Did he call himself that before. It's driving me crazy! Help.....

Hahaa! Cristina in Peds?! I understand that the show is trying to show her caring side, but does anyone still crack up in the episode where Cristina baby-sat for Bailey's son? That was hilarious.

Actually it was just publicized by People magazine that he DIDN'T leave. So no George didn't die.

Haha...Cristina on Peds. I can already picture her with the kids or working with a 'happy' person like Arizona. That is going to be good and hopefully funny. We need funny.
I honestly could've taken the five Izzie-less episodes without really caring but I wonder how are they going to work out with her movie schedule.
I also read that EP might not even miss any episodes as well.
One can only dream...
