Katherine Heigl is adopting a baby this week, according to Radar Online.
The Grey’s Anatomy star is becoming a mom to a baby girl. Heigl and husband Josh Kelley have wanted a baby for a long time, and have talked about adopting one.
The adoption process has been in the works for at least six months.
The baby is from Korea. Her full name is Nayleigh and her nickname will be Leigh, according to the online magazine. The baby is about 10 months old right now.
“She is thrilled,” a source said. “She and Josh are so happy.”
Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley are rumored to be adopting a baby!
Heigl recently hosted a baby shower for co-star Ellen Pompeo. Assuming this report is true (it has not been confirmed), we are extremely happy for the two of them!
The 30-year-old is on leave of absence from Grey’s Anatomy (she will be gone for five episodes) and starts filming her newest film Life As We Know It next week.

abcdefg - it will be her OWN baby. People need to think about the language they use in regards to adoption. My sister has a biological daughter and an adopted son and they are bother her OWN child. I'm sure her daughter will be beautiful. And I agree with the poster who says there is no reason to have a biological one first - maybe she doesn't want to bring more children into the world when so many need homes. I think it's honourable.

Katie's older sister, Meg, was adopted, and she's been quoted as saying that she saw what adoption has done for Meg and she always wanted to adopt as well. If this is true, I wish them all the best.

I think it's great. There's no need to try to "make one" first. Adoption is every bit as legitimate a way to have children. We did this with our oldest daughter. We wanted her to know she was not a "plan B." I'm really happy for Ms. Heigl and her husband and their new daughter.
