The Ghost Whisperer kicks off its fifth season this Friday.

As means to hype the next phase in this CBS drama - which will find Melinda and company jumping ahead a few years - producers Kim Moses and Ian Sander previews the episode ahead for TV Guide.

Here's an excerpt of what they had to say:

In our season premiere, you will be personally introduced to Melinda and Jim's new baby at the moment the baby is put into Melinda's arms.
