Private Practice Episode Recap: "Pushing the Limits"

While last night's episode of Grey's Anatomy provided an entirely different tone, feel and narrative structure than we're used to, Private Practice was true to form.

The doctors of Oceanside Wellness (and Pacific Wellcare) struggled with patients who tugged at their heartstrings - and in some cases, hit a little close to home.

This was especially true in the case of Violet, who had to counsel a couple struggling with the rape of a woman - and an unplanned pregnancy that resulted from it.

Meanwhile, Addison treated a homeless teen and her two-year-old son, and she and Sam helped her reunite with her own mother, with whom she was estranged.

Elsewhere, Sheldon tried to lay down rules, Charlotte threw herself into home renovations and ended up with a new position, and Dell even made an appearance!

For a full rundown, follow the link for a recap of "Pushing the Limits."

I really am enjoying PP this year. I thought that Sheldon was a total idiot in this episode (although I generally think that of him anyhow) and I couldn't believe that Naomi would let him act that way toward her friend. She is the boss and he should not talk to anyone that way, let alone her friends. Very exciting stuff going on this season with the baby storyline etc. Very interested to see it all play out! I have faith that Violet will come around and there will be a happy little Pete/Violet/Luke family by the end of the season.

I didn't love this episode, but it was ok. Even when Addie was being an 'as$', I liked her.

I hope that Charlotte does get the job with Addie and Sam. It'd be priceless.

Sheldon is like a four year old kid whose toy was stolen and wants to claim his 'turf'. Seriously? Naomi doesn't say anything? Mmmmm...

    Violet needs help, ASAP.

funny thing is addieson's dress is similar to Jules' in cougar town..

I like a lot of things about Private Practice, but the stupidity of the patients is very frustrating. I guess that the point of the show is to be pregnancy-focused... but the only reason I watch the show is for the doctors. They could use less-stupid storylines.

I have to say I find it wonderful that you started posting PP releated stuff here on this side, too. Those two shows belong together and here is the perfect place for both of them. Thanks for posting about PP.
