This week's episode of Grey's Anatomy marks the debut of Dr. Teddy Altman (Kim Raver), as the new cardiothoracic surgeon at Seattle Grace-Mercy West. But it's her past relationship with Owen, a fellow Iraq war vet, that has Cristina questioning her from the start.
Meanwhile, Izzie returns to Seattle Grace with her high school mentor (Joel Grey) seeking treatment for his dementia, and the stress of Richard's responsibilities take their toll.

Everyone just needs to realize that they are entitled to their opinions, and thats all they are no one is right over anyone else. Some people may not like numerous things about meredith, but everyone still watches and tunes in because its the show as a whole not just one piece.... lil bailey for ya :)

JO I"m with you I still miss Erica. There was something about her that I loved. I miss her as a doc she gave the other doc's hell. But that was just her personality. If you ever saw Crossing Jordan she played that same hard ass she was on Grey's. I hope this new doc mentors chris. Her whinny ass needs someone. LOL!!! But I have a feeling it isn't going to happen after chris finds out the woman knows Owen. Maybe Owen and this woman had a relationship and they will get back together and chris and jackson can be together:) And still I"m hoping that the return of the diva don't stop the path the show has been taking for the last 2 weeks. It has been very good.

Teddy? thats the name of the new cardio doctor (aka Erica's replacement)?
She looks like a skinnier version of Erica pssht(Sorry but i miss Erica)
Maybe this can all work out, but I dont really like how they keep bringing war into Grey;s Anatomy now and with another Doctor who was affected by war, i dont think things are going to change.

IMO, I hated Izzie from the get go. She is judgmental (seriously, did she HAD to care that much about Mer sleeping with Derek? Or the look she gave Mer when she said she didn't want to get herself tested to donate her liver? The constant mocking of George's crush on Mer?), self-centered and self-righteous. As a character, she's definitely the person that I can't root for. Obviously, her recent attitudes haven't been that good, so not really making things better. Doesn't mean I want her dead or erased or all the evil things but I just want her to return to her supporting status.
I'll admit that my dislike for Izzie was added by KH's comments on the show and the fact that Grey's Anatomy became Steven's Anatomy. Everything revolved in her cancer. Nothing else. I wished that during that time, we could've explored more of Hunt's PTSD or Derek's dark side. All of that was thrown as a side dish while the cancer was the main dish.

AMB , i can't understand .. when new characters were announced on the show, u all said that you don't want new ch. and that you rather have 7 seasons of GA with the original cast than 15 seasons with new characters ?? and now u want an original character to go and be replaced by a new one ??? what did she do to bother you .. i assure you that you will blew it with every person in your life, and you will be very annoying if u was under the situation she is under now .. cancer , firing, bff's death.. how would you feel if you found out that your lover had speaked about you badly to your boss (he didn't but that's what she thought).. and explain to us why she don't deserve a second chance? isn't she a person ?

I love the idea of a cardio god. And i'm not a huge fan of Christina and Owen really so the drama there doesnt bother me.
I'm actually pretty disapointed that Izzie is back. I just find her annoying and self centered.
SOOOO glad Mer is back though! yay :]

I hope Alex ends it with Izzy and gives Reed a chance. Izzy had her chance with Alex and blew it. No more 2nd chances. I hope she leaves and doesn't come back!

Changes are good, but not too many! I'm looking forward for izzie coming back! at least than the show will be about the actual cast again... Meredith and Izzie really left a hole. The others are great too, but with George already gone, I hang on to every little piece of the first seasons!

I think got the solution for this more or less constant cardio doc problem. Shonda should write a episode were the cardio wing gets a gas leak and it explodes. Tada, no more cardio wing and no more cardio "crap"!

I am loving this season so far....I am interested in what will happen with each of the characters and their relationships. It seems like everyones is up in the air...except for mer/der. Love the bright and shiny merideth!
