Will You Watch The Deep End?

Looking to bolster its viewership of Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice while garnering buzz for a new series, ABC has essentially ... cloned Grey's Anatomy, only in a law firm.

Ladies and gentlemen, The Deep End!

The new drama focuses on first-year associates at a prestigious Los Angeles firm. These young, attractive lawyers will be thrown into both the courtroom and the bedroom.

The Deep End cast features Billy Zane of Titanic fame and a host of attractive newcomers. Much like Grey's, circa 2005, combining Patrick Dempsey with relative unknowns.

What can viewers expect on the series premiere? We'll find out Thursday at 8 p.m. EST. More importantly, will you be watching the series debut? Vote in our survey below:

I saw the deep end and it was horrible. They completely stole Grey's Anatomy's idea. It is pretty much exactly like Grey's Anatomy with lawyers except the writing is horrible.

Does ABC pay to have this show plugged on the GA website?

This new show has NOTHING to do with GA or PP so it doesn't worry me or interest me one bit. I'm not "upset" that they're plugging it on this page but I do think it is inappropriate. TV fanatic has a mainsite for each and every show. We don't need any other shows plugged on the GA or PP sites, since EACH SHOW has its own site. Ok, so maybe it does upset me a bit. I just think that since GA and PP insider made the switch to TV fanatic, they should at least stay true to their content and not shove some new show in our face that we're not interested in.

Mumbles cit

are going to have crossovers between all three shows now

A plug for another abc programme on a Greys Anatomy Site. Is this the next cross over set up, cos seeing Ad again on GA is wearing a bit thin. Please can we just do GA stuff on this site

I'll watch it(: It looks interesting

Seriouslyseriously

I wonder if this show will meet the kind of success Grey's (or even PP) has...I feel like there's going to be a lot of overlap in terms of the type of storylines...lots of people sleeping together and working together, and maybe even cases that mimic the lawyers' personal lives. Even the ad where they show the blond lawyer saying, "we're first-years, grunts, newbies," echoed Bailey (and later Alex) saying "you're interns, grunts, nobodies, you work every second night till you drop and you don't complain...". Eerily similar, no?

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

When we say things like "people don't change" it drives scientist crazy because change is literally the only constant in all of science. Energy. Matter. It's always changing, morphing, merging, growing, dying. It's the way people try not to change that's unnatural. The way we cling to what things were instead of letting things be what they are. The way we cling to old memories instead of forming new ones. The way we insist on believing despite every scientific indication that anything in this lifetime is permanent. Change is constant. How we experience change that's up to us. It can feel like death or it can feel like a second chance at life. If we open our fingers, loosen our grips, go with it, it can feel like pure adrenaline. Like at any moment we can have another chance at life. Like at any moment, we can be born all over again.

Meredith

Callie: Did anyone ever think you two were a couple?
Meredith: No, because we screw boys like whores on tequila.
Cristina: Then we either try to marry them or drown ourselves.
Callie: Huh.
