David Boreanaz Clarifies Stance on Bones' Booth & Brennan
David Boreanaz is best known for two things:
- Being the married guy Rachel Uchitel slept with before Tiger Woods
- Being half of Bones' sizzling and electric Booth-Brennan component
Regarding the latter, recent comments that he doesn't want the show's main characters to end up together riled up the show's fan base. Now Boreanaz wants to clarify.
"I see [Booth and Brennan] and they really pretty much are together," Boreanaz said in a new interview. "The fans want to see the two together. I have my views on it."
"I think the two of them kind of work really great off of each other [already] and I'm not saying I don't want to see them together. But I think that everybody wants to see them together in a different way, whether that's as a couple, in a relationship [or something else]."
David Boreanaz isn't nixing a Booth and Brennan pairing ... but he's cautious.
"It's great to see them solve these crimes, it's also great to see them get into their personal lives. But for right now, I still maintain that they should be partners, and that we will see what happens after the season [ends], where they'll go from there."
Also, just because the duo might be on the fence romantically doesn't mean there won't be many moments to get fans buzzing (not unlike NCIS' Tony and Ziva in that way). Boreanaz says Booth and Brennan might be sharing a dance in an upcoming high school reunion.
On the flip side, we may be in for a bumpy ride come the season finale.
"In the season finale, there will be a big shift ... with everybody," Boreanaz said. "It's a really great season finale. We shot the last scene last week and it was very moving, very hard to get through. But I think it's going to elevate these characters even more so next season."
Hmm.... possible pregnancy spoiler alert? Any thoughts, Bones fans?

I REALLY THOUGHT THAT THIS SHOW DESPITE CRIME STUFF, WILL SEND A MESSAGE TO ALL MAN AND WOMEN FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD WHO ARE BORN FOR EACH OTHER THAT THEY SHOULD GET TOGETHER.I REALLY HOPED THAT CREATORS WOULD SEND IT BECAUSE BRENNAN AND BOOTH ARE PERFECT EXAMPLE FOR A MAN AND A WOMAN WHO ARE BORN TO BE TOGETHER AND BELIEVE ME THERE ARE LOTS OF BOOTHBRENNAN EXAMPLES IN REAL WORLD.SEXUAL TENSION,ATTRACTION,CHEMISTRY,PASSION AND LOVE NEVER DIE IN RELATIONSHIPS OF THESE COUPLES.I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH A LAST EPISODE IN SEASON 6.I WAS WRONG ABOUT THIS SHOW AND I HOPE THAT I AM NOT ALONE IN OPINION OF BOOTH AND BRENNAN RELATIONSHIP

I agree with many of the comments about the B&B relationship angle but I see it a different way. All this time Bones has maintained that love is transient, that human relationships are driven by biological imperatives to perpetuate the species, going so far as suggesting a woman will gravitate towards a mate most likely to produce the strongest off spring. Booth has been the one to counter that with emotion and the belief that people can love each other for thirty, forty or fifty years. He has loved Bones for years, managing to build on that with very little real encouragement from her.
He finally lays his cards on the table and she tells him no and then what, he just gives up on that? If season 6 shows him moving on too easily then to me it validates that Bones is right. There is no such thing as a forever kind of love and Booth's actions will be what proves it for her. All the progress she has made will be gone just like that - which will make me wonder why I bothered

After reading this interview I am convinced that there will be no Booth and Brennan. I wanted this show to go a certain direction; I wanted to see how 2 people could work and be in a relationship at the same time. The tension could come from many directions, including hiding their relationship from everyone. It seemed that there was a possibility for that to happen but now I think there is no way that will be the direction they go in. When one of the lead characters states that they do not want a romantic relationship to develop between himself and his lead I say there is no hope. I will dvr the episodes but I am not sure I will watch them, I am just so disappointed.

Since I'm in Ireland, I only just saw the episode 'the parts in the sum of the whole' and I'm so glad to see that so many of the fans feels as deflated - and dare I say as devastated - as I do! It was a terrible thing to do to a fan base who clearly wants B&B to be together. Please don't ruin what has been a great show!

After the so-weak excuse the writers grasped at for breaking up Jack & Angela, and then making Angela a little round-heel trollop for any girls & boys (shame on you), you seriously wound Booth (and the faithful viewers) with last week's ending and what appears to be episodes and a finale to come. The four viewers at this home won't be watching if that continues. Too bad; this was our favorite show. Booth and Bones belong together, as do Jack & Angela.

I too was very upset about the 100th episode. I so enjoy Bones & Booth's "dance". I would much rather continue "the dance" than see it end! Can't we say the 100th episode was "a dream"? It worked on Dallas. Let them keep going as is. Just add an ocassional kiss, or hand hold. They don't need a full on relationship. I enjoy the fantasy of what could be....

hi,i´m from mexico,this years i see the show waiting for they been a couple finally,after six years the kiss happend...with a bad taste...the cuestion here is,why the producers don`t let them happend? why this beautyfull persons can`t be together?
most the fans see the show,waiting a scape the real life...now the real life is here too...is not bad,but..if i feel bad in a serie,better i live my own life...where is the fear?
a real fan,want`s to see him together...why not?

I have been watching the show since the beginning. I LOVE IT! I have to admit I love the dance of the flirting between booth and bones. It makes for good drama bringing u back each week to see what will happen. Booth trying to help bones become more in touch with her feelings she has grown the past year. But the last episode made me sad as it seemed to be and end to the dance. Now they are only going to solve crimes?? Not good to eliminate that aspect of the show. I cannot see the series ending without booth ending up with bones.

I’ve been really thinking about how the writers are gonna string us B&B along some more…and 1 MAJOR theory popped in mind! And it involves ALL the stuff we've been hearing lately...like, "some B&B fans will love it and some will hate it,"Pregnancy rumors,"Booth being the one w/ a change in heart," etc. While it seems far-fetched...just try to stay w/ me here haha.
So, producer Stephen Nathan says,(about the Finale)it’s gonna be “BIG” and that they have “had it in mind for awhile”…which implies they have been building up the guts to go through w/ it. Keep in mind the epi is called “The beginning in the End” so keep in mind the storyline of the last 2-3 epi’s of season 4. And what storyline haven’t they touched this year so far??? ANSWER: Bones wanting to have a baby. Remember she was just about to go through w/ it until Booth’s tumor situation. I say she decides to use Booth’s sperm and becomes preggers. Bones is the first show since Friends that I have invested so much time and effort into the characters and stories. But unlike Friends, Bones has real substance and I find everything about the show fascinating from the characters, forensics, location, patriotism, history and love which makes it such a great drama. I didn't watch the first four years but got caught up on DVDs and I have been waiting for this episode to come just like everyone else.
For the first time since I have been watching, I have to admit I was pretty deflated at the end of this episode. All that passion that had been building up, for it to end like this when they finally break the silence was a real disappointment. I'm not sure what it will take to build it up again, but to keep my interest beyond the forensics, the writers/directors will need to think of something quick and make it happen. We all know there is a time line for every show that exists and we as fans can only be teased for so long before we just
