The new season of The Hills will be its last. Don't everyone cry at once.
After years of shopping, hook-ups and staged nightclub catfights, Kristin Cavallari, Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt & Co. are done.
The Hills became one of TV’s most popular reality shows since MTV spun it off of Laguna Beach, when cameras followed Lauren Conrad as she relocated to L.A.
During its run, fans followed the day-to-day drama of LC and her clique. But all good things must end, and so must The Hills. The last 12 episodes start April 27.
The Hills' final season begins with Montag heading to Colorado to visit her folks, who see the results of her 10 plastic surgeries for the first time. Scintillating TV.
FAB FOUR: The Hills in its pre-plastic surgery heyday.
“We are lucky and honored to have worked with this cast and tell their stories for this long, and we are grateful to the many dedicated fans who have stuck with us over the years,” MTV’s President of Programming Tony DiSanto said in a sad, sad statement.
“We owe it to those fans and the show to go out on a high note. This season will deliver with drama, story, real emotion and an organic culmination of this saga.”
It's the end of an error era. Fortunately, based on recent ratings, it looks as though The Bachelor will carry the contrived nonsense banner for years to come!
