seriously the best episode EVER
i LOVED the fact that my mouth hung open as none of us predicted that Elizabeth might actually be in LOVE with Jack(B)ass and we can atleast spurt a LITTLE sympathy for elizabeth. clearly she was SO guilty so we might forgive her in due time (which still angers me!! how could she... to her own SON!!)
i love agnes on the show...but that was just a little too much right? even though i admit it was fun too.
and ohhh...i'm in LOVE with Nate!!! if only there were guys like him in the real world!
i also LOVE the idea of blair going to columbia...she SO didnt belong in NYU with DAN AND VANESSA
only HOW will she, we all know nobody would take her cuz of what she did to that bitch Miss Carr
and god...no comments about how stupid vanessa CLEARLY seemed in this episode. a RUT? seriously? you guys just STARTED going out honey! and who doesnt want a best friend in their boyfriends, its the most romantic thing! GET A BRAIN!!!!

The preview for next week makes me cringe because Blair/Chuck/Jack and Jenny/Nate. No matter whose idea it is to trade Blair for the Empire it is just sick. Jack is going to be the only one happy in this situation. As for Nate and Jenny, I'm not sure why they are kissing, but that is pretty repugnent, too. While I'm no fan of these two as a couple that isn't my problem. If he and Serena are still dating and he decided to hook up with Jenny in a closet he is pretty sleazy. I thought the writers were trying to make him a better character. How is he believable when he says he is so happy with Serena and in the next episode he is making out with her step-sister. Gross!
Hm. Maybe Chuck gives Jack his permission for Jack to sleep with Blair in exchange for the hotel. And then everybody hates him?
Please, don't prove me right.

Christ, I wonder whatever Serena's character did to make people like her so much. IMO, so far she's done nothing but parade around the show sleeping with guys and dramatically leaving rooms whenever someone implies that she is still the trainwreck she used to be. I don't hate her; I find her tedious to watch and easy to forget.
So when compared to someone like Jenny, who may not be likable and does not go around yelling about how she's become a better person but instead DOES things, I fail to care about Serena and her 'boyfriends'. Jenny may be reckless, shallow and bitchy, but she has character and she's proactive. I'd rather watch her with Nate, in a relationship with conflict and drama this show deserves, than have to fast-forward through Serenate ridiculously boring sex scenes. Just my two cents.

@ QueenBeee : I totally agree with you about Serena.
The only reason I am Serenate supporter is because of Nate and his season 1 suffering about not getting Serena (who was actually a nice character in season 1) made so sad and I thought he deserved happiness after all the drama with his family etc.
BUT if it is Jenny he wants to be with, then everybody should just accept that. It's time Serena got dumped - BIG TIME.
Can't stand the way she always just gets all the guys no matter how much shit she's been pulling!

My thoughts as follows:
Positives
- Blair rediscovered some of her old form in this episode. I especially liked her interaction with her mother. That shows her growth as a person just as much as her relationship with Chuck.
- Nate and Serena's hilariously lame attempt to set-up Jack. Leave the plotting to the pros guys.
- Jenny was good again. We saw her vulnerability and lack of direction. No wonder she's developed feelings for Nate, he always seems to be there for her, whilst her family has more important things to do.
-Jack is the smarmiest TV baddie out there. Good stuff from him.
Negatives
- Chuck and his mommy. This whole storyline makes me cringe. It just feels wrong to me that Chuck be facing his emotional demons. He should keep them bottled up inside.
- D&V. I thought they were sweet last week, but their "drama" this week felt forced, as if they were being crow-barred into the episode.
- I thought the direction was a little clunky and static.

and also, i wish elizabeth really wasn't chucks mom. its stupid that she's been alive all this time and that his real mother would do that to him. it would've been much better if chuch had gotten played by jack and then elizabeth would've been out of the picture. her being alive is ridiculous and i'm sick of the she's his mom, she's not his mom thing. UGH

ya dan and vanessa=eww. i think they should stay friends. i liked how they were never paired up. eww. and blair and chuck's kiss was 2 seconds again. what the heck!! why don't they have any long romantic scenes anymore?? chuck was sexy at the end though...
stephanie-I think you've got a good guess there. but here is my problem:
if chuck thinks that having the girl he loves sleep with his UNCLE is worth getting his hotel back, he's got some pretty effed up priorities. if I were blair I would be so offended and hurt that he would use me that way and be okay with that. maybe he will tell jack he can sleep with her but make blair think its her idea?? idk but eww either way that is wrong and so messed up. i hope its an entirely different situation and the promos are just misleading???? that is so wrong on so many levels.
i wish there was a better promo out...the ones on youtube are terrible right now! but i bet GG Insider will put one up so no worries :)
