David Boreanaz Hypes "Big Shift" on Bones Season Finale
This week's 100th episode of Bones has received a lot of attention because it flashes back to the first case on which Brennan and Booth worked together.
But it's also a big deal because David Boreanaz directs the installment. How does the actor feel about the focus of "The Parts in the Sum of the Whole?"
"It’s great to see them get into their personal lives,” Boreanaz told Fancast.com. “But for right now, I still maintain that they should be partners and let’s see what happens and where they go after this season, because it’s a pretty good season-ender.”
Tell us more about that season-ender, David.
“There’ll be a big shift, not only for [Booth and Bones] but with everybody,” he says. “We shot the last scene last week, and it was very moving. It was hard to get through, but I think that it’s going to elevate these characters even more so for the next seasons to come.”

Come on, Guys. Get real. This being Jan. 2011, you
know something's going to happen as soon as Bones returns on the 20th ( or soon thereafter)whether the sniper shoots Hannah To hurt Booth or she just ups and leaves. Something big is going to happen!!

In my opinion there's someone who bears a grudge against Booth and may want to hurt him by doing something to hurt Hannah to get back at him. That' s how I see it!!

I am sooo sad that that season five did not end with booth and bones finally getting together... I totally agree with most of the posters here that we can only take so much in regards to the will they or won't they dilemma. That said, my room mates and I would all be devastated if the bones and booth hook up never happens! It gets more and more unbelievable that bones still can't believe in love after five seasons of growing as a person, never mind the other characters. And booth looks like he gets more and more disillusioned that he can't get bones to return his undying love with every episode going by... or so we like to believe ;) Anyhow, we're definitely keeping our hopes up for season six...

Guess I'm a minority, but I don't want Booth and Bones to get together. It's against everything Temperance believes. There would have to be something BIG to make her change her feelings.
I wish they'd drop the whole plot line and just keep them as partners.

I used to love to watch this show, but the "almost" television cliche relationship got tiring. Love the characters. Love the actors, but enough already. Any couple this emotionally dysfunctional should give it up at this point. Either leave the romance out of it and make it just another murder and detection show, OR let the romance come to fruition. Now THAT would be novel idea in today's television genre! Imagine?!... a couple that actually develops a GREAT relationship and can combine work and romance! This "in-between" has become a bore. In today's world of far to many dysfunctional families and relationships wouldn't a working relationship be refreshing!

i have had enough of all they teasing and taunting, i love bone more thean anything but i am not sure if i can stand anther series of them ALMOST being together, either do it or dont, make your mind up heart!!! obouisly i want them to be together but i dont like the way it is dragging on and almost ruining the show, is they were together it could go back to normal and the real witty, creepy, faninating bones can come back.
Dont get me wrong i love the B&B relationship, like really love it, it IS intresting to see whats happens and how they are both coping with it, especily now booth knows he loves her.
But people are going to get sick of it dragging on in the end

I LOVE BONES. THE ONLY WAY I MISS A SHOW, IS IF I HAVE TO WORK. BOOTH IS GREAT AND WISH HE AND BONES WOULD GET TOGETHER AND SHE WOULD GET HAVE THERE BABY. IT WOULD BE A BEAUTIFULL CHILD.I THINK BONES IS A very beautifull person/woman. when she was in the wonder woman costume-- she was hot-- .

doing their experiments. He was a good fit in the group. We both
hope you do this. His character is missed.
