Grey's Anatomy Casting New Trauma Counselor

by at . Comments

The new TV season is heating up and shows are searching for people to play new roles.

Our favorite is no exception. As if it didn't have enough eye candy, Grey's has feelers out for a sexy actor to play Andrew Perkins, a forty-something trauma counselor, says TV Guide.

Any thoughts on who should play this role - or how the Perkins character will be tied in with the SGMWH surgeons we know and love? Comments and theories are welcomed below.

not a new character, and what will the new doctor do?, I think they need a new actress to be alex's girlfriend, because Izze will not come back, and no actress in the show can be his girlfriend?
stop add useless characters please.

There are TOO MANY people in the show! They have to stop adding, it's too crowded.. which also means each character's screen time will be decreased!! :( Damn.
Honestly, I miss the old Grey's gang from Season 5 (NOT including Teddy, Jackson, April & other Mercy Westers).

Oh no, another character. There are too many people in the cast right now. Each character's screen time will be decreased! And I hope this Andrew Perkins isn't going to be in the regular cast because I kinda like the current Grey's gang (excluding Teddy, Jackson and April).

Dermot Mulroney, Eric McCormick, or Dylan McDermott.

Any male actor as long as he is hot, and is just as good looking as Patrick and Eric, and since he will play a counsellor he would need a sexy voice.

I hope is either Eric Martsolf,Brandon Beemer,Victor Webster,Antonio Sabato jr or Shawn Christian// :)

John Stamos....totally obvious....the Mc triplets....Mcsteamy, Mcdreamy, and Mc......I'll leave that part up to you

i think it could be julian mcmahon....he had a role as a doctor once in Nip/Tuck alias Dr. Christian Troy

Joseph Fiennes would be perfect for the role! Or maybe Dominic Monaghan!! =) JIMO, or if only Jake Gyllenhaal does TV. . .or if was in his 40s.=D

please don't think I mean for Avery to have a boyfriend from my more male docs comment

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

Lexie: [narrating] Grief may be a thing we all have in common, but it looks different on everyone.
Mark: It isn't just death we have to grieve. It's life. It's loss. It's change.
Alex: And when we wonder why it has to suck so much sometimes, has to hurt so bad. The thing we gotta try to remember is that it can turn on a dime.
Izzie: That's how you stay alive. When it hurts so much you can't breathe, that's how you survive.
Derek: By remembering that one day, somehow, impossibly, you won't feel this way. It won't hurt this much.
Bailey: Grief comes in its own time for everyone, in its own way.
Owen: So the best we can do, the best anyone can do, is try for honesty.
Meredith: The really crappy thing, the very worst part of grief is that you can't control it.
Arizona: The best we can do is try to let ourselves feel it when it comes.
Callie: And let it go when we can.
Meredith: The very worst part is that the minute you think you're past it, it starts all over again.
Cristina: And always, every time, it takes your breath away.
Meredith: There are five stages of grief. They look different on all of us, but there are always five.
Alex: Denial.
Derek: Anger.
Bailey: Bargaining.
Lexie: Depression.
Richard: Acceptance.
