Smallville airs a new episode tomorrow night and you can count on a detailed TV Fanatic review of "Shield" to go live first thing Saturday morning.

But forgive us for looking ahead one week. On October 8, Laura Vandervoort returns to The CW as Kara, aka Supergirl. She tells Clark that Jor El sent her to help stop the the mysterious dark force that is coming... and to look really attractive while doing it.
