Now that I'm rewatching the sneak peek, I can clearly see her wiping the clotch (hankerchief or something like that) between her legs... she's definitely collecting DNA evidense from herself and locking it in the drawer for safe-keeping.

@Daedra22
I think what Charlotte locked away in her drawer in the sneak peek wasn't there when she originally left her office... I think it's something she later on can use as evidence against the guy, like maybe she used the cloth to wipe semen off herself, or something like that. It's clear from how she avoided people and stumbled into the supply closet that she intended to clean herself up, she even said to Pete that she didn't want anyone to see her like that.

"It was a crime, and you don't think she'd want a violent rapist on the loose.Also wondering why she was so careful to lock the desk drawer and hide the key. Wouldn't she have done that the first time she was leaving the office?"
Many victims of rape do not want anyone to know. Some people feel humiliated, some feel weak, some are scared... there are any number of reasons not to call for help.

She was probably in shock. That is probably why she doesn't say anything. And yes more often then not a hospital has to have consent to do a vaginal exam. She probably doesn't tell Cooper because she is ashamed, and scared, like a lot of rape victims. It doesn't matter that she doesn't have a reason to feel that way its just how she feels. She probably didnt call the police or call for help, because as someone has said he put his hand over her mouth, and also, she was scared I'm sure, and didnt want people to see her that way.
I too though am wondering what the significance of the drawer is. hmmm...

I don't understand why Charlotte wouldn't call for help, call the police, rather than just tell Pete to shut the door, etc. It was a crime, and you don't think she'd want a violent rapist on the loose.Also wondering why she was so careful to lock the desk drawer and hide the key. Wouldn't she have done that the first time she was leaving the office? Looks to be a great episode. I have really gotten to like Charlotte's character as the series has progressed. I hope she uses her grit and her strength to get through this.

Madeleine, I'm not positive, but I think a doctor can't do a vaginal exam without the patient's consent.

Charlotte's fingernail... It's unbelievable that they wouldn't examine her and check if she was raped! I mean, how they know she hadn't lost her conscienceness and hadn't been raped then? Isn't it a sort of standard medical treatment?

Kerrian, it's probably not all that unbelievable. Hospitals are full of noise. We did see the rapist covering her mouth and since he was a lot bigger than she was, he probably had a good grip. If he knocked her out beating the hell out of her (and my guess is she comes to when we first see her in this episode since he's long gone), she wouldn't have fussed for much longer.
I agree though, it'll be hard to watch. Especially once Cooper hears.

What does it mean by she only tells Addison the truth?
Addison: Then slowly, over time, everything changes. And you're no longer this young thing, and you don't believe in fairytales and "perfect" isn't in your v...
