Whenever something happened to Katherine and it hurt Elena was just a spell that the witch put on her...for the time being. Lucy removed the spell once she met Bonnie and realized Katherine betrayed her by not telling her the whole truth.

Great episode, I have expected none of situations. Poor Katherine, I loved her. Is it me or Stefan & Damon are getting annoying?

I maintain that Stefan and Damon are at their best when they team up. Seeing them come together to take down Katherine was my favourite part of the episode as was Damon sealing Katherine in the tomb and finally (seemingly) getting over her.
