Three More Private Practice Clips: "Did You Hear ..."

at . Comments

Private Practice deals with the aftermath of Charlotte's sexual assault this week. In the first sneak preview we saw last week, it was Pete who discovered his battered colleague.

In the first of three new clips we've posted here, he's now taking on the role of protecting her, even as Addison and the authorities seek more information about what happened:

The entire episode takes place in the hours immediately following the shocking rape that ended last week's "All in the Family." Follow the jump for two more scenes from this week.

It looks like it's Addison who gets Charlotte to admit the graphic details of what took place, while Cooper naturally feels he should have done more to protect his fiancee ...

Please, after watching this episode, write your comments asking the writers, producers and actors to convince Charlotte to file charges. This is such a relevantsubject matter and needs to handled in such a way that future victims and past victims may come forward across the country and file charges against their assailants and bring them to justice. It is a long, hard, battle when they do, but it could help some many other women that have had this happen and someday perhaps save our own children. Please send in your comments and we can only hope someone will listen and play this storyline out to the best advantage for the victims. This man should go to prison for the rest of his life in this story which will be taken as a victory to all of the unfortunate women that this has happened to and maybe they will come forward and put these evil people away.

My heart was broken for this strong woman that put up such a valliant fight agasint someone 3 times her size and was still remaining brave and seemingly in charge. However, I will be disgusted if this storyline takes her to a place where she doe not report the rape and assault allowing the police to keep him off the streets. Otherwise, being a doctor in the program and chosing not to deal with it, it not a good message to send to other true victims in the past of sexual assault. Please, nail him to the wall. Let all the former and present victims watching him see him get his due while teaching oher women realize that they can only help if that can convince the victim to come foreard.

I'm really looking forward to this episode. Probably should get the tissues ready though...

@ Stella, I agree! I hope I will find a man like Cooper!
Poor Charlotte!:(

@rachel I completely agree with you!

This is going to be an AMAZING episode! I think they are going to handle this properly & with decency! It is going to be heartbreaking, but these things DO happen in real life & I'm very happy they are willing to do this on the show! I am sad it was Charlotte but she is extremely tough & she might be able to bounce back (not soon) but she will be okay :)

Just want to let you all know that ABC has uploaded the first 8 minutes of the episode up on the website

private practice in my mind has always handled darker stories really well, and I feel like watching charlotte deal with this is going to be heartbreaking

I cannot wait to watch this episode. It will make me cry for sure, and keep me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Private Practice Quotes

Charlotte: My mom always says God doesn't give with both hands. You're young, beautiful, brilliant. There has to be something you can't have.
Amelia: Some days I'd give that all up.
Charlotte: That's just the craving talking. The longer you go without a drink...
Amelia: I drank at your wedding. I thought it was ginger ale. I spit it out.
Charlotte: OK, since then?
Amelia: Nothing, but I can't stop thinking about it.
Charlotte: It was an accident. Don't let a slip turn into a fall. Get your butt to a meeting.

Having a conscience is brutal.
