I think Carlton has developed feelings for Juliet, and was thrown off by seeing Shawn and Juliet kissing at the end of the episode.

I agree. There's something strange afoot with Carlton. He didn't just rub his neck once on the stairs. He rubbed it again leaving the viewing room, with his coffee cup. He acted very strange. Something has happened to him. Also, they didn't lighten up the music in the denouement. We were supposed to feel like things weren't right yet. A neat twist. I am guessing the premiere will have something connected with these final moments.

So now that Lassiter know Shawn and Juliet are dating I wonder if he will tease them about it

I agree. Lassie likes people to think he is a robot, but in his moment alone, they showed the viewer that he really does have his human side. Ally Sheedy was so fun to watch! At the end, when Shawn said, "You never killed anyone, did you?" I was happy. She went from being a creepy killer to a sympathetic victim. I felt that this was much deeper than they usually get, and it kept me watching raptly to see what was going to happen next. I hope they try to do more drama in the new season.

A total waste of some really tallented peoples time. Make it so obvious they just do this show for a paycheck. Are you sure they are bringing this thing back?

Good review. About the moment with Lassiter on the stairs at the end of the episode--I think They were showing that even Lassie was as creeped out as everyone else about the whole Yin/yang thing, flatter his conversation with Buzz talking about how Lassie supposedly isn't fazed by it. There was that Yang music playing while he kind of looked like he was trying to get the whole thing out of his head, shaking his head and scratching the back of his neck.
