Blair: You say I always bet against you. Not this time. I'm all in.

There's a reason I voted "Just Average", actually two reasons.
The first reason is that I had extremly high expectations for this episode and let's face it Dan and Blair carried all of Manhattan's Upper East Side on their backs.
The second reason is that had it been centered on Dair and less on Damien, Serena, Eric, Ben, Lily, Chuck and Russel, it would have been AMAZING!

Everything but Dan/Blair sucked.
Well, didn't watch anything but the DB scenes, but I'm kinda sure it did though.

I've really loved all of the Dair Buildup. Though this felt more like a friendship episode than a romancey one, which coming off of the last episode, felt unnecessary. Not that I didn't love it--it's still the best part of the show. But I'm greedy and want more. I like how GOssip GIrl's voice-over implied that Dan and Blair are getting "what they need" from eachother. However you define their affection--be it romantic or not--I think that statement is true.
Speaking of voiceovers...Did anyone catch the play on words in the promo? "You can try to fight it... or accept it if you DAIR" HAHAHA love it ;)
Like another user though, I'm trying to brace myself for disappointment. I'll be so shocked if they get a happy ending. Pleasantly shocked, but shocked nonetheless. Sigh. I'm trying to be prepared for the worst, but it's hard when they seem so suited to each other.

I haven't watched Gossip Girl in a long time, since halfway through s2. Loved Derena, loved Blaire and Chuck but not together. But I started watching again for Dair. I strongly believe that Ed, Penn, and Leighton are the best actors on the show and single handledly make the craziness of GG work. I never thought Leighton stole the screen when I first watched GG but she's the queen bee of that show and she proves it by how dynamic she can make Blaire Waldorf. I love Dan and Blair though cuz I think from the beginning that's what this show should have been about is struggle of two worlds trying to coincide and it just never went anywhere cuz GG is all about the OMG moments rather than making good storylines. I love the direction Dair is going in and I want more of them.

I feel very different to most commentators here. Firstly, even though I don't mind Dair and their forced relationship, knowing that it is "set up" and "contrived" makes the writers lazy and it feels very long drawn. This is not the way I thought it would play out. Both Dan and Blair clearly are not over their ex lovers and the continuous movie watching and bantering has made this relationship somewhat like a fizzy drink gone flat. With the arc at W over, there is very little here to sustain this friendship. Once the bubble bursts and their friendship is exposed they will wither like many other story lines that have had potential but become obsolete. It's sad that the Dair followers will have their hopes thwarted.

i gotta say im really starting to love DAIR! the ending was awesome its just it's too bad blair got fired at the W. can't wait for the next episode although it's kinda confusing since louis is coming so hopefully this is not the end for DAIR. and also i notice that nate's character is getting really nonsense, whatever happened to upper east side's golden boy? and chuck's story is getting boring, with him chasing raina..seriously!
