@Estefs: I agree with the crazy writers part, I hope they don't pull a The O.C., like with Ryan and Marissa, that was awful. On a different note I don't think we were supposed to believe Adele's song was actually playing in the party, it was more a background song for the plot, and I know many love it but I didn't because it is a CB song but not for a happy moment like that one, they should had used it for when they were fighting. Somebody asked if the writers are Jewish and yes, more than one are.
That was a condensed episode! So much stuff, so much potential for drama next season: I loved it! Where to start?
1) Charlie: I loved all the twists of that storyline. So intriguing! I’m very much looking forward to her story next season. So she was only pretending to be Charlie and on medications. So what happens next season? Does she continue to pretend to be Charlie or does she return as Ivy? I’m very much looking forward to that storyline.
2) Loved how they use Georgina last night. She had some of the best quotes of the night. She’s now a Bedford Wife! Hopefully, she returns next season and teams up with Charlie.
3) Dan’s book: Finally we’ll get some explanation to his Insider arc. So he does see himself as the insider as well, that’s interesting. Dan as a social climber who wanted in the UES even more than Jenny? That should be an interesting story for next season. Vanessa publishing that book will probably bring lots of scandal and drama for next seas

@Lorrein, The writers of GG are all crazy, so don´t expect it to happen, remember that in other shows has happends, like dawson,in the end he didn't end up with the love of his life, so maybe it could happen with dair :S and on the preview's directors and interviews they did say "not always you end up with the person you felt in love with at 17" or something like that, to me this means that everything can happen, no chair, no derena, anything, because these people are crazy.

@Me, I totally agree with you. If Chuck and Blair don't get together in the end of Gossip girl, then the whole show would has been a loss of time.
And in the scene with the chairs, they looked so happy. So, obviously, they can feel happiness when they're together, but not only pain and sorrow.
The scene with the goodbye just broke my hearts.

maybe blair did the pregnancy test and don't waited for the result for 5 minuts, but trew it away after 1 minut so she doesn't know the outcome of it?

Chair could be apart for now but THEY HAVE TO END UP TOGETHER IN THE VERY END. OTHERWISE ALL THE SH0W WAS A HUGE JOKE!!!
I loved the time Chair spent together smiling once for all!! And Blair bringing Chuck in the room to make love with him??? That was just EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!
And as for the pregnancy test, I hope it's Blair's but most of all I hope it will be an evidence that they are meant to be together, no matter what they do or say. Life is showing them that they can't be apart!

Why do they destroy such rare emotional scenes by cramming them in between dumb plot lines?!!!
The Thorpe plot was dumb. It didn't make sense and there was no Oh My God moments. The whole, Blair's in danger thing was very disappointing. Bad soap opera.
The Bar Mitzvah (pardon my spelling its late) was cute but odd...Is someone on the writing staff Jewish? I did love Blair and Chuck enjoying time together.
Bullshit on the Blair and Louis thing. He's cardboard with a bad accent and a nice chin. NEXT. Blair and Chuck shouldn't be together but at least give us something back in return.
I actually liked Serena's Hollywood plot. It made sense to me. I don't know if people even read Fitzgerald anymore but the books are fairly short and Serena could relate to his main heroines. She is practically Daisy Buchanan (wrong book I know, but Mia Farrow popped into my head). Also, it's been established that Serena leads a charmed life. Landing an amazing job by just standing on a beach is

@arwenkstar I totally agree about the baby issue, hopefully it turns out to be nothing. Honestly, if it is Blairs baby (with chuck or anyone else) it would totally mess up the show. Everything we love about these characters is possible because they're young and have nothing holding them back. Adding a Chair baby would make GG to much like a bad teen soap. Besides the whole bastard child things already been done with Dan.

I wouldn't mind seeing Louis and Blair develop the back and forth between chair was getting boring and if the ended up together this soon I feel like that would get old even faster. its more fun to see them apart...for now

@Estefs, I suppose the only solace that that we can take with Derena fans are that Dan is fully aware that if published the book would hurt a lot of people he cares about; those that he considers family, friends and loved ones. We were also hinted that the book doesn't portray the "Dan" character any worst than the other satire characters. A possible exit strategy for Dan to blame the authorship to Vanessa (and rightly so, if she gets all the money!).
If the book was written 5 years ago, then he was a different person who wanted "inside" the Upper East Side society. But why? Both Jenny and Dan demonstrated both a revulsion and compassion to how people behaved in that society. A kind of conflict between the good and bad people of the UES. The way he talked about Blair's conviction and character seemed an underlying respect for how she has developed.

This episode was so sad. But whoever is pregnant doesn't know it because the test said negative before another line slowly appeared. Hopefully it will be Chuck and Blair's.

After watching this episode I'm kind of dissapointed on dan, because it looked like he kind of used serena. So I feel bad for her because he's the only guy that she truly loved during her "maturing" etc, so... I don't want her to ever get back with dan, even when I was a derena shipper until this episode, everything felt apart. I wanted to think it was that he was in love with and well.. he was also a wannabe, but if he used her, no matter how bad serena has been that's just wrong. Remember that she loved dan and wanted everything to be special with him because no guy ever looked at her like he did? and now results that he used her and was in love with blair or something random like that? I don´t get it. I was an Ok episode mostly by Chair, but everything else is too confussing, like that one from serenas, that she never made her mind about dan and nate.. so, it was all acting when she told dan that all she remembered at the mascared was that she went to look for him to tell him that

Has anyone actually thought that if it is Blairs test then she may have took it after her conversation with Serena, therefore not knowinf that she would be pregnant when she gets married. I would love to see a Chair baby, that would be the cutest kid ever!
And why do people keep saying it could be Dans baby, when Blair kissed Dan she wished it was with Chuck so why would she then go on to sleep with Dan? Just doesnt make sense.
And if it was Eleanors why would she put it in Blairs/Serenas bin. Surely she has her own bathroom.
I think more than likely it will be Serenas (as much as i would love it to be Blairs) as she was acting strange, going away by herself for a while. And in an interview asking if Ben would be coming back it hinted that there was a possibility for him to return.
All i can say is roll on September so all can be revealed
i think it was an okay finale. last year's was much better, filled with scandal and so much more drama. still, im happy with this Charlie/Ivy story. makes things interesting if you ask me. as for blair and louis.. i dont know. still feels pretty weird that after only one month they both are madly in love.
Chuck is finally out of the picture (or is he?). now, Dan can go and get blair for good and that's what i'm hoping to see next season honestly. Even though she isnt a cast regular anymore, the finale would've been so much better with jenny in it ;)

Im so sad HONESTLY it made me cry come on chuck and blair have to end up together its unfair making them have a great love moment and then to take blair away and come on gossip girl not suppose to be cheesy with a princess and prince its about scandal and the upper east side and rich kids partying and going through everyday games NOT prince and princess lets get back to the real deal with gossip girl chuck and blair serena and nate dan and his writing and THANK GOD vanessa not coming back shes a waste lol. i hope its chucks baby cause the books chucks GAY and blair with eric so i dont think they follow everything from the books just the concept!
I think this was the most heartbreaking episode I have ever seen on Gossip Girl. Seriously, even if you weren't a chuck and blair fan, how could you not be moved by that scene? The whole thing just felt so wrong, and without Chuck and Blair, the show just feels empty; colorless. I couldn't bear to see chuck truly love someone else, and be with someone else. That would just break my heart, even more than it already has. I don't want the emptier lives for them of the rest of their lives staring at each other at society functions, wondering what could've been. It's so wrong. What I would love to see is Blair breaking things off with Louis, eventually, and Chuck spending some time on himself, building his empire, and them meeting again at the end of season 5, finally ready to be together, FOR REAL this time. And this baby thing is ridiculous. It's what bad writers fall back on when they run out of ideas. This show is about young people, and the trials of youth: self discovery, realization

I hope this isn't the end of Chair forever. I'm glad that he finally managed to let her go, but we all know that Blair and Chuck have something to special to just forget. Plus she and Louis have barely any chemistry and it's becoming hard to watch. Hope he leaves soon. I think she's pregnant, but they're going to find some way to get rid of the baby.
