I thought it was a great season finale.

'Rolling In The Deep' almost got me crying. I just love Chair and I couldn't be more disappointed when Chuck let Blair go. And I can't believe Blair is getting married.. And not with Chuck! I really still think Chair is endgame, and it will always be. I mean come on, when could it ever be over for them? + I think it's Chuck's and Blair's baby!!!! OMG

Charlie suprised me in a good way. When she first came out, I thought she was the most boring character since Vanessa. But the storylines came out great, but I got wondering who's the real Charlie then. But she has the same potential as a character as Georgina. And that's a lot.

But even though I said Vanessa is boring, well she is, but in this episode I saw the same potential she had in season 1 and 2. I think I'm even going to miss her a bit. You have to admit that she's always behind the door, listening other people private conversations, she tells about it to the wrong people and makes a

Blair would never cheat. I hate how they made her do that in the finale, for such irrational reasons. But hey, it is ok since it was with Chuck? BUllshit.

I also hate that Serena is having a career while Blair is off to a fairy tale instead of working on her life as an independent woman.

This episode was far superior to the rest of the season! Georgie was so funny and I hope she is back next season. I would never have thought Charlie wasn't charlie but infact IVY!! I think that at the end when dan/rufus/eric were talking that eric was realising that dan actually wants to go out with Blair :P
Biggest shocker goes to the final seconds!!!!! is it Blair's or Serena's...

i loved this episode! Perhaps not as much drama as the other season finales but was still good and it was nice to see Chuck and Blair being happy together, which is something you never get to see :( Then with the pregnancy test in the bin i really do hope its blairs cause that will make for an interesting story line next season... in particularly if its chuck. I hope chuck doesn't bother blair during the summer he just leaves her alone and that he doesn't get into any trouble, showing to Blair that he has finally grown up. Can't wait for next season now!!!

this is the best gossip girl episode ever!!!!!!!!

@marianne 1989. I was thinking the same thing. The book is called the inside. Gossip Girl called Dan the ultimate insider and who comes to mind when you think ultimate insider? Gossip Girl. I can't wait to see what the writers have for everyone, but i really wonder if we will get a glimpse of the real Charlie. I also wondered how Vanessa planned to give the cheques to Dan or even if she would do it? Her not doing it is out of her character but who knows.

I can't believe they screwed up Blair's character, she used to be independent and strong, at least yearning for it, and she keeps running back to Chuck? WHY?

I agree, CHAIR IS SO OVERRATED. Fans seem to be into them like a cult, it is not rational, does not make sense, and is not romantic. Just pure destruction.

i don't care what everyone else says I JUST WANT CHUCK AND BLAIR TOGETHER!!!!!

This season finale disappointed me for so many reasons.

First of all, I thought that Blair's rescue was very rushed. The review says it all - one phone call and Chuck, Raina, and Nate are there in 15 seconds? Give me a break. I do appreciate Blair's smart thinking to discreetly call Chuck though.

Second of all, although Georgina's comment of "I'm going to get drunk enough to make you all seem interesting" was hilarious, I thought most of her lines and behavior were contrived and pathetic. I really feel sorry for Michelle Trachtenberg, because the writers really made G out to look desperate.

Furthermore, what happened to Louis' midnight flight out? If he had a plane to catch, he should have left. And sure, he could have missed his flight to wait for Blair, but what about the princess? She was also supposed to be on that flight and had no reason to stick around for Blair. The writers appear to have forgotten that little detail.

It's also disappointing - albeit unsurprisingly

it was one hell of a finale. starting with charlie. i never in my wildest dreams saw that coming. she is vintage upper east side. and i found georgina's constant begging to be incorporated in their plan utterly funny, she brought some spice to the episode.
moving on, i really felt that nate was underutilised throughout this season especially in the second half. he has been of great help to his friends and reina but didnt have much of his own.
for Chair i really hope it's a happily never after. then again i have a nagging suspicion that blair is pregnant with a Bass baby. or is it Serena, quite possible because they showed her as someone who wants to change and grow, but this could turn things around for her.
Eric is so damn funny. his line. 'i dont have to be sent off, a light breeze would take me there.' was epic.
Dan wants blair. yes he does. after that epic trailer i thought that he just wasn't there in the game to win blair. but there is a huge scope for Dair. hey could it be

Well, it was kind of an epic finale...

I'm sad for Chair and how everything ended for them, but at the same time it's a good thing 'cause let's face it it'd be really boring to see them on and off again. They surely need time for themselves. we all know Blair is the love of Chuck's life and it's the same for her, but i'd really like to see them having serious relationships with others.

And I just hope for one thing, that writers meant what they said about chair being the endgame, cause if they AREN'T there's no point in all 4 seasons we saw, and i'm not saying this because I want them to be together at the end badly (and I really do) but because we saw their chemistry, how they affect each other, the way they spent their last night together, how happy they were, how unbearbly hard it was for them to say goodbye and realise it was a good decision. Chuck has to grow up finally, Blair has to realise what she really wants from life. Well, we have the whole season for that.

No mention of the DAIR nuggets? Eric and his head tilt saved the finale for me. DAIR is not dead!

I suspect Louis will be gone pretty quickly in Season 5, and most of the season will be DAIR vs CHAIR. I'll actually kinda miss Louis. He is wonderful for Blair, but dang it, BLOUIS is boring.

I was touched by the goodbye scene between CHAIR but the sex scene left me pretty cold. I'm afraid that passion and longing between them might have been irrevocably corrupted.

Really hope to see more Georgina next season. Again I ask, why wasn't SHE hired as the new cast member???? This Ivy person I couldn't care less about.

Also really want to see more DAIR next season, how Chuck ends up, and for Serena and Nate to have their own storyline.

Things I don't want to see: CHAIR: The Diaper Years. How many times have we seen a baby storyline signal the quick death of a good show? Please be Eleanor's, please please please. Plus Cyrus as new daddy? YES PLEASE.

    @P

I'm sure Dair aren't over. I think Dan's whole book SL will lead to Blair.
But I still can't get over this ridiculous Chair-fest finale aimed at saps who are ready to ignore any type of misogynistic behavior in the name of "twu wuv"....
Chair fans think they are open minded being into a dark twisted romance but they are the ones screaming- give us a marriage and baby at 20!!
I went from loving Chair, to being bored of Chair, to disliking Chair, to being against Chair, to absolutely hate the idea of Chair ever again.
My only hope is Dair because another Chair series would make this beloved show utterly unwatchable.

  15. Vanessa

    (1)Georgina was hilarious! lol
    (2) Charlie was a shocker!
    (3) Blair and chuck are a bore.wtf.
    (4) Dan ...hmmmmmm
    (5) Chuck maturing ...i like
    (6) Nate (hot!)
    (7) Serena... I don't really care
    (8) Eric..lol! the girls were funny
    (9) Vanessa...bye
    (10) Blair...girl needs to get some respect
    (11) pregnancy test....Please, no shocker. One of them has to be knocked up by now :p

  16. P

And all Dair fans should move to The TvWithoutPity forum, You'll meet others of our species !!

  17. P

To all the Dair supporters here, I love you all.
I hate Chair with a vengeance, they are the most over-hyed couple ever.
And lets not lose hope, we all saw that Dan was upset with the marriage.
Go Dair, GG's best, funniest and most enigmatic couple !!

    really Great song.

    @B
i agree, it is awful when people think they know who the endgame is...

  20. Kathy

They destroyed Blair's character. The writers are not very respectful to women: Blair cheated and lied, with a guy who tried to hit her, who thinks he owns her, who saved her from a situation into which she only got because of him in the first place, and now she might be pregnant?

  21. alexis

does anyone know what song was playing during the bar mitzvah scene or who sang it? adele maybe? Whatever it was, it made the scene more intense :)

for me, it was the worst GG season finale! the episode was so boring, and honestly, I think season 5 has to be decisive and last season. and about the pregnancy test, I don't think that the test belongs to Blair or Serena. sure, it's for someone else. Maybe, Eleanor.

I'm laughing so much when Serena said "No Boy's, then "I said, "well, this will not last five minutes. " and that's what happened. hahaha, what a joke!
and vanessa, hope you go away for forever this time!

  25. Yuna

I was a huge Chair shipper, but the more the writers screw them, the more I'm for a Dan/Blair romance in the end. Now that would be a good ending to his book, wouldn't it? The writers seriously need to stop putting writing Chuck's characters in extremes. Why is there no in between? Either he's a childish ass or he's the adult mature one who lets Blair go. Not consistent... I wish they hadn't written that season 3 storyline :(
