I really loved this review. Thank you for being impartial and just presenting the episode without any prejudices. I really loved the finale, it was better than the depressing season 3 one. I'm so happy Chair got their closure yet I'm excited what's their next phase going to be. Will it be friendship or nothing ? I'm sad but Chuck had to do this. They had to have their closure. Except how really effective is it going to be if now they're sharing this secret: That Blair and him had sex while she was engaged.

Why would a baby ruin Blair's aspirations. She is intelligent, goal oriented and responsible... let alone has a shit load of $$$$ A woman can do anything if motivated enough. I am a single mom without a trust fund or without any financial assistance and put myself through undergrad and grad school. I am sure Blair could make it work!

    I hope it's hers and Chuck's!!! Chairfanforever!!!!

  3. CharlieTrout

Really hope no baby eventuates, it would ruin Blair's aspirations for the future, and the care fun loving feel of the show in general. How is Blair going to scheme with a baby on her lap when she is so young and has her whole future ahead of her = S. It would not be cool writers!!!!!!! (I just had to repeat that it annoys me so much when they bring babies into teen dramas lol!!)

I can't wait to find out more about Dan's book. Hee hee his names are so lame, Sabrina, Charlie Trout? The whole UES is going to sue him for transparency lol. But still I would love it if each UES (Chuck, Blair, Nater, Serena) read an excerpt from the book about themselves and confronts Dan, that should be funny as well as letting the characters thinnk about themselves and their stories objectively, and be good fun for us to watch and laugh at lol.

    SOMEONE PREGNANT, nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  5. Artemis

There's a young designer contest. Could it be Jenny's coming back? While Blair is away playing princess, they will need a master schemer.

Timing is all wrong for Chair and Lair that's a Dair baby!

  6. Annalisa

Obviously the baby is Blair's, since she didn't have sex with Louis and Serena doen't have a boyfriend...
I think this will be the reason for Blair's comeback to NY in season 5 (did we really believe she would stay in Monaco forever?), and I'm starting to believe that at the end of season 5 (which will probably be the last, because of the contracts..) they will finally be back together...
I really liked the finale, i was really surprised by the fake Charlie and the pregnancy test!

  7. Interesting...

Chuck is maturing, once this has happened and he has learnt that patience and kindness is key in a relationship, then that fire can turn into something long lasting!! The writers will bring them together.

Blair having a child, that wouldn't fit into the story line, how would she become a powerful women, if she has a child at her side, and being so young as well...

I really dislike that people are interested in watching a show that they claim to know its endgame.
It defeats the whole point of creative writing and originality in TV and film.
Its fine if you would like a certain endgame over another but don't be so arrogant to declare you KNOW its Chair.
If I was a writer I would make sure it wasn't just for the sake of surprise.

Vanessa got a nice ending, she showed how much she cares for Dan and his success. I liked her in earlier seasons when she was mostly concerned about him and played his conscience.

I don't see this as an end of Chair. Chuck and Blair have been happy together before. Louis and Blair, though I feel sorry for the guy, I still don't feel is right. Blair says Louis makes her happy, but does that mean she's in love with him? Or just in love with the idea of a simple romantic fairytale? I think her and Louis would be great and loving friends, but not good lovers.

I still think Chuck, by letting her go, showed that he truly loved her, loved her enough to sacrifice what would make him happy, for what she thinks will make her happy. And I dunno what some people are saying, but despite the silliness of the barmitzva scene (still reckon they should've just hooked up in the limo again lol) when they went in that room together the sparks flew again on GG lol. That's just my opinion though.

As I think the Prince was a guest star, I think it's safe to say that's not going to last. And like some others said, though Blair didn't look scared or anything, we're not exactly

My favourite quote from this episode must be by Serena when she said that she's going to do something for herself for a change. Ha ha ha ha, the last 4 years she's been all about herself. I hope that it's Blair who's pregnant (With a babyBass)but Serena could really use a baby, it would force her to grow up.

    Here's what I believe/hope is the case:
-The pregnancy test is Blair's and the baby belongs to Chuck. Blair knows this as she had been using protection with Louis, but the sex that she had with Chuck at the bar mitzva was unplanned--so in other words, the two of them did not use protection.
-We know that Chuck and Blair are endgame. I seriously doubt that the show is going to film in Monaco, let alone show a royal wedding. Why? Budget. I have my doubts that Blair even makes it to the airport after that pregnancy test. We didn't necessarily see her get on the plane after Dorota was throwing that in the trashcan. She seemed fine when she was bidding farewell to everyone at the Bass/Humphrey penthouse, so I don't think she knew at that point. I believe that she probably woke up the next morning or so feeling sick and went and took the test...

when season 5 begin????? just can't wait for it!!

The whole season I doubted Chair and thought they shouldn't be together until Chuck gets his act together and makes up for all his mistakes to finally deserve her again! Unfortunately the writers had to wait until the last episode to do this. I finally want them together again without any restrictions! The whole time the writers brought them shortly back together under questionable reasons (his ultimatum at the end of season 3, the hate sex at the beginning) now they finally they did the big romatic redeeming action, but they don't let them be a couple. I really hate it. But for me this episode showed more than ever that Chair has to be endgame. Okay, maybe they need their time apart, also if IMO they finally reached the point where they should work on their issues TOGETHER, but I don't give up hope. They demonstrated their EPIC love in this episode and Blair DID look happy on the chairs. Hope the baby is a Bass and they work things out in the future, being both more mature but still t

i think the pregnancy test belongs to Blair..but kinda nu sure... n if so who the father Louis r Chuck!omg! it was sad chuck giving up the love of his life Blair..but was a real mature and very unselfish move for him so thumps up to that! tru love wont die n always find to work. chair will eventually work out.. i hope...
this very a great season overall for me and wow talk about a eye grabbing season finally! so anticipating season 5!

    team chair.......

I love how Eric knew it was Blair whom Dan was thinking about, not Charlie. I hope the DAIR storyline continues to blossom next year.

  18. Laura

OMG, I hope it is not Blair's baby. It would be awful. I hope Chuck grows up and lets her go for good. That would be really redeeming.

For Blair's sake, I hope she is not pregnant and she can continue working on herself, her career and more mature relationships next year.

  19. Kelly

I thought I enjoyed the DAIR scenes so much because of Blair, but I noticed it was Dan. When I saw her with Chuck, it did not touch me at all. The whole "we are at a Bar Mitzwa, and we are happy" seemed so artificial. And dare I say, the sex scene was not even good.
I love Dan's character. I love that he wrote a book, and hope he gets a major storyline next year (without pairing him up with Serena).

  20. francine

The pill doesnt always work espically if youve been on it for so long and dont make sure you take it properly.

Does anyone else find it annoying how consented serena is... really still thinking she has the right to choose between nate and dan when theyv'e both had girlfriends since dating her and dans in love with blair! come on get over yourself!!

Shes so annoying that she always goes on about being on her own and making her own decisions but never actually does it, she just likes talking about herself!

  21. Sara

I realized that Blair is still a child. Running back to Chuck, cheating on Louis, she just does not know what she wants. Chuck treated her badly the whole year, and she forgave him so quickly? All forgotten and forgiven? And how can you say he redeemed himself by letting her go? This was not even selfless. It was the easy way out. If he were mature, he would fight to be a better person to deserve her.

I really wanted Blair to choose to be alone, to grow up, to realize who she wants to be. Instead she runs from one guy to another, cheating, lying to herself.

  22. Sofia

It has to be Chair's baby to make the royal wedding crash ;)

    @B
Dan's a wanna-be, if I understand the reason behind the writing of the book. He always wanted to be ONE OF THEM; it sounds like his goal was to 'infiltrate' and expose their lifestyle. Except--he really wanted that lifestyle, as well--what better way to get a foot in the door, than to date the "IT" girl, Serena.

Vanessa told him on the phone that his desire to 'fit in' was worse than Jenny's...

  25. too_old

I know the writers have been awful lately but I have to say that Josh Safran did a great job with this episode. I can't wait to see what's in store for next season. I am too old for this show, I swear, but I just LOVE Chuck and Blair. They have such a magnetic chemistry and I can't tear myself away from watching to find out what happens next. I refuse to call them a piece of furniture though.
