  1. Me 2.0

Next day, don't think my thoughts have really changed any. Derek reclaimed his throne as king of the emotionally abusive assholes after relinquishing it to Owen for a little while (though Owen didn't give it up without a fight and, in his defense, he's never done it on purpose like Derek does). I've always been just as interested in the saga of Mark and Lexie while they're apart as I was when they were together, but it is really starting to get old. Hopefully season 8 will finally bring some resolution for those two.

Of all the breakups, the only one I'm really sad about is the non-romantic one, Meredith and Alex. Hopefully they work things out, everyone else is better off apart as far as I'm concerned.

i hope alex won;t get a drinking problem, this was the 2nd episode where he ended up drinking :/ and also shonda should start giving him happier endings...4 consecutive bad ending -_-

This finale, was a REAL finale. Am not sure I'll be watching it in the fall!!!!! Christine was waaaaay over the top out of control-----using an abortion as birth control---pleeeease! and Derek-- just call him Mcstubborn, Mcpig-headed, Mcunsupportive!!!!! Time to get back to the REAL STTUFF

What a disappointment, not surprising though that Christina is going to kill her baby. I think she is selfish, Owen didn't ask her to get preg just carry the baby to term and he would do all the "mommy" work. I hope they have her character grow up and not kill the baby. Also I am tired of the drama from Derek, he needs to grow up too.

  5. Meredith McDreamy

@ Lauren, AMEN, completely agree. Every guy was an asshole except for Richard, Henry and Bailey's guy (What's his name?)

  6. Meredith McDreamy

@ Crystal Marie Koppe, Meredith kicked Alex out. She told him to have his stuff out of her house by the end of the day when she confronted him about telling Owen about her messing with the trial.

I don't actually remember Meredith kicking Alex out. In fact, I remember her calling out for Alex when she got home with Zola and finding his room empty, all his stuff gone. I think what happened was that he left before she could kick him out.

It feels like we have been in this situation with Cristina before when she was first with Burke. She got pregnant, was going to have an abortion, but couldn't go through with it because the placenta attached to one of her Fallopian tubes and, therefore, burst the tube before anyone caught the wrongly positioned pregnancy. Burke was upset at first but then told her he just wanted to be part of the decision, and that's all that Owen wants. You would think that she would have learned from the first pregnancy.

Alex always resorts back to being his jerk self after he's had his heart broken, it's his way of dealing.

Though I know why he's upset, I'm actually a little mad at Derek for saying he's not sure Mer would be a good mother. She's

I actually found this episode to be an excellent way to end the seventh season.
It was touching in many ways and leaves you with much to think about without actually having to think about it. I know that sounds confusing, but it makes sense to me. :p

Let me begin with Cristina and Owen, I must say that I support Cristina decision. I understand that Owen wants a baby and that's fair enough, however, he knew what he was getting into when he married Cristina. She made it abundantly clear she never wanted children. As a couple, you discuss these things before entering marriage. He should know that. So how dare he blame her. Furthermore, she made an appointment to terminate and he throws her out. If she's gone, he can't discuss it with her further. So way to think there Owen.

As for Meredith and Derek, I am kind of supporting them both on their choices. I don't understand why Meredith just wouldn't tell them. It would have been easy on all of them and made a much better, clearer and

Lexie has gotten really pretty through out the show and hopefully we will see a Mark/Lexie storyline in Season 8.

    Song name of the end.?????????????????????????????????????????

For what it is worth, when my boyfriend asked me what I thought was going to happen in the season finale of Grey's, I predicted an episode that was very similar to the one that aired last night. So, here are my predictions for season 8:

    1. April will not be chief resident long. She is not capable and she, like Izzie, is too involved with her patients. She will fail at chief resident just like Caille. A major plot line in season 8 will be a new race for chief resident. But, in the end, Christina will win.
    2. That being said, Christina will go through with the abortion, which will put an end to her relationship with Owen. (If I were to have one wish come true, Burke would come back to the show and he and Christina would get back together. But I don't know how realistic this is.)
    3. MerDer are going to be on the rocks again. The show was at its rating height when Meredith was chasing Derek and vice versa.
    4. Alex will self destruct and someone will have to step in to put him back t

I am a huge fan of Grey's, but this finale was disappointing. Literally every single guy was being a complete asshole, and it has set us up for a summer of simply trying to think of ways to fix all of the crap that just happened.

I can't stand how Owen always asks Cristina rhetorical questions that make her uncomfortable. No, I don't think it was right of her to make the decision about the baby without him, but I think if he would have talked to her from a non-biased viewpoint, she wouldn't have felt so trapped.

Derek wins the award for the biggest ass of the night. I can understand him being upset with Mer for the trial, but telling her that she was going to be a bad mother was crossing the line. He knows that that is something Mer is really insecure about, and to pinpoint that target was just cruel. I would also like to point out that Mer was AMAZING with Zola, so Derek is just going to pout in his hole until he shrinks his ego enough to admit he was wrong.

    Sorry, but **** A

What's the name of the end song..????

I think it's ridiculous that Cristina got an unwanted pregnancy AGAIN. She's the only one so opposed to having a child, yet she got pregnant twice since the series began. I can understand that accidents happen, but twice? If not having children is so important to you, then stick to your birth control...

Can I just say how good your reviews are. I haven't liked other reviewers of Greys in the past, as they just simply did a recount of the episode with open questions to the reader. I like how you put your opinions in too!

Loved this episode and can not wait for more!!

  16. GA fan

the final's cool, I like it,
Tonight's such as heartbreaking for 2 poor men Der & Owen,
the next season should be better for MerDer & Crowen,
Hope Mer admit to make a big mistake and Cri keep the baby in S8

  17. Mel

I for one was glad Alex turned Lucy away. She was never good. He deserves better. Throughout the whole series, the one thing i LOVED was they frienship between Mer and Alex. Loved it loved it. This episode made me SOOOOOOOOO sad. I tihnk I was more sad about that than anything else. Seriously. He moved out?! Whhhatttt?!

  18. fan of the show

For season 8 it will be joy if we have
    1.two hour opener
    2.two hour finale
    3. 24-25 episodes
    4. no musical
    5. love partner for Alex
    6. Mark and Lexie together.
Finale for season 7 - not so awfull but almost everybody is teased by Derek's reactions.Certainly Shonda has own handwriting-
this finale is not writen by her.

  19. Ashley

I agree definately a low key season finale. And because it was quieter than previous finales I felt a bit disappointed. I was waiting the whole episode for something mind blowing to happen and it never happened.

Although most of Season 7 was Callie/Arizona centric, I wish they played a bigger role in the finale, we barely even saw them. I understand they just finished up their huge storyline which gave them the leading roles in the show but I would have loved to see a Callie/Arizona/Sophia cliffhanger, to remind viewers that they are still very important to the storytelling of Greys Anatomy.

My happiest moment of the finale was when Teddy confessed her love to Henry! Love them! My saddest moment, when Mark let Lexie go. I miss this couple!

My Season 8 Predictions. We'll be seeing a lot more of April now that shes Chief Res and hopefully we will get to see her relationship with Stark unfold. I actually like them too together although there's a bit of an age gap.
    We'll see.

  20. Saral.

Alex is not a jerk, he is a grey character, with good and bad sides. He loves Mer and I hope they figure it out.

I liked the finale it was not over the top unrealistic like the last ones. it was very real: husbands getting hurt by being lied to or being left out of decisions, friendships suffering, etc.

It is true what Mer said in the end. to love and to get hurt is much worse than to not love at al. Mer, Alex, Christina, all these main characters chose to mature, to let love in,and now they are suffering, because that is part of a mature relationship.

  21. Eric

I really wish that after seven seasons that Shonda could stop using Alex has her scapegoat for every goddamn bad thing that happens on the show.

I love the more mature and responsible Alex that he lately has grown into and also deserved to be. Which makes it so much more irritating and dissatisfying to see him fall back into the jerk he was.

  22. Vic

Oh god Mer is a good mom, i love McPrincess Zola, they are so cute!

  23. JessiGrey

I think it was a great episode.. I think that one day when I KNOW Merder turn out ok I will appreciate it more. For now I am just ancy as to how they will turn out! I'm surprised how calmly Meredith ended her friendship with Alex, I think I would have gone a little more off my tree!! I think it's fitting for Mer & Cristina to have some time together I always thought it a little strange they are the only ones that never had a 'live in ' situation for any period of time since they're so close. I love how Cris defended Mer to Alex - I'm totally mad at him too! April deserved chief res position, she is perfect at admin, and rule enforcement... Cristina & Mer were made for being world class surgeons, not losing time in the OR to do paperwork! Karev.. Well Owen summed that up!
I really hope everything works out next season!!!! Merder should work things out... However, I don't care for the relationship between Owen & Cris - I think he doesn't get her.

  24. css

    okay, this finale sucked!
no offence, but i don't like zola and im confused if zola's legal parents are now merder.
someone help me or agree with me!!

  25. mary

I am so tired waiting for Lexie and Mark. The show is not that great without those two together.I hope that Shonda will bring them back together next season!
