by at . Comments

Thursday nights will no longer be reserved for laughter this fall on NBC.

The network revealed its 2011-2012 schedule this week and one of the biggest changes is that viewers will need to get serious after watching the antics of Leslie Knope, Jim Halpert and company.

Prime Suspect, a remake of a British drama from the early 1990s that starred Helen Mirren, will debut at 10 p.m. in September. Featuring Mario Bello in the lead role, this the series will focus on the life of detective Jane Timoney as she adjusts to a precinct dominated by men.

How will this brilliant cop navigate such terrain? Check out a couple clips from the upcoming premiere and decide: Will you give Prime Suspect a chance?

Don't waste your time on this crap. Watch the original, with Helen Mirren. It's gutsy, and graphic. The US version is going to be pablum...

Well, first clip looked promising, 2nd clip turned me off for good. No Prime Suspect for me.
