Private Practice Season Finale Promo: Close to Home

at . Comments

After last night's Private Practice set many events in motion, it looks like even more potentially game-changing stories are on the horizon in next week's season finale.

The doctors of Oceanside Wellness are faced with a tough decision. As usual.

This time it's personal, however. Either they point out areas of vulnerability within the practice and risk the termination of some of their own, or they dissolve the practice and each go their separate ways. Clearly, the stakes are impossibly high.

Meanwhile, Charlotte is assigned a case that hits very close to home, and Addison has a new admirer in town (new cast member Benjamin Bratt) who offers her a very tempting proposition, and Pete and Violet reach a crossroads on multiple levels.

I love this show, it never fail to suprise me :I

i think the final 30 seconds will have something do with Ameila but she doesnt die as it says on wikpeadia that she is going 2 be a character in season 5

Please, please take Kate Walsh through the art of "A Kiss"; and all the varying degrees of "A Kiss". The prominence and allure of her character is over-shadowed at times because she cannot deliver passion with "A Kiss". Maybe that has been part of the plan? How sad if it is.

I have had this on my mind since I started watching Private Practice. It may be petty but for me, it keeps getting in the way of believeability. "Passion" is one of the big draws for me to Private Practice. So much work goes into building out believeable personal relationships. But...I don't get this little issue and maybe it is simply a problem in the world of actors/actresses. "A Kiss" is such a big deal...It's the "picture that tells a thousand stories". Meredith and Derek, as a couple, really get it. Even in their short, quick kisses, they get it. They look real. Their lips, tongues, teeth, hands on faces and skin on skin...they look real. Why hasn't this simple but most dynamic element been perfected in Private Practice. Cooper and Charlotte come the closest...All the rest of the actors are "stiff lipped, cold, and passion-less". And Sam and Addison are the biggest dissappointment of all!! How can that be? Sam looks to be the most lusciously kissable person ever!! Just a total dissappointment week after week. Does anyone else share this sentiment?

if pete leaves Vi i hope he $#&%dies1 he better not blame herfor what happens to the practice!

I'm so pissed about the breakup, there has been NOTHING leading up to such a drastic decision, I just want to scream to Pete "what the hell happened to 'for better and for worse'". Considering he's been not only supportive, but further encouraged Vi to fight, I don't see what can have him suddenly do this 180 turnaround. This is just Shonda deciding to let Vi's entire life cave in, take away the job she loves and the man she loves all in one fell swoop. I hate it and I hate that we have to wait until frickin September before whatever this is will be resolved!

OMG... What an ending to a beautiful dramatic season!!! Amazing!!!! I hope that they sort out the differences....

addison should be pregnant with sam's baby when she goes out with the connor guy - lol

I think Amelia will suffer from a drug overdose and flatline. That's what I think the last 30 seconds was.
I had a feeling that the practice might actually explode for some reason, but I no longer think it will.
As for "the goodbyes". That's obviously Naomi.
Overall, this looks like the season finale to watch. :D

I'm excited to see how this finale plays out because of the choices they have to make with regards to the practice. Are they going to choose to save what the practice is or choose to save each other? As for Charlotte, I'm looking forward to seeing how she'll deal with something like this because it does hit very close to home. And this case further shows how what happened to her will always be with her and it's something that affects both her personal and professional life. I think she also has a lot to deal with because of Amelia since it looks like she let herself fall back into old habits. Looking forward to getting to know Benjamin Bratt's character, or Connor to be exact, cause I'm hoping he'll be the real deal for Addison! They've also been teasing a lot about watching out for the last 30 seconds of the episode so I'm looking forward to that. I hope it's really something big that will leave all the characters in an unknown situation for us to look forward to in season five. If it's something like Addison getting pregnant, I'd be pissed. Not because I don't want that for her but because all this hype about a major shocker really has to be shocking!

Private Practice Quotes

Charlotte: My mom always says God doesn't give with both hands. You're young, beautiful, brilliant. There has to be something you can't have.
Amelia: Some days I'd give that all up.
Charlotte: That's just the craving talking. The longer you go without a drink...
Amelia: I drank at your wedding. I thought it was ginger ale. I spit it out.
Charlotte: OK, since then?
Amelia: Nothing, but I can't stop thinking about it.
Charlotte: It was an accident. Don't let a slip turn into a fall. Get your butt to a meeting.

Having a conscience is brutal.
