Secret Circle First Look: The Coven
Because one witch on Thursday nights isn't nearly enough, The CW will debut The Secret Circle this September.
Airing immediately after The Vampire Diaries on Thursday nights, the series is based on a L.J. Smith novel and will be produced Kevin Williamson. It stars Britt Robertson as Cassie, a girl who discovers she's part of a secret witch coven. Who else comprises this witch clique?
The network has released the following cast photo:
From left to right: Thomas Dekker as Adam, Shelley Hennig as Diana, Robertson as Cassie, Louis Hunter as Nick, Phoebe Tonkin as Faye and Jessica Parker Kennedy as Melissa.
We've also got your first look at the series premiere. The shots below reveal Cassie on the run, as well as Dekker's Adam seemingly coming to her rescue...

im going to watch the show but right now i HATE it they cant take out 7 plp and get away with it! im a fan of tvd and i was ok with 1 person but 7! i mean Debra and Susan were like one of my faves and i was OK with Elena not being blond and in not ok with the fact that that they messed up atom, nick and Dana's hair! i mean nick has black hair not blond and atom has brown hair and Dana has silver hair with blond highlights not black! and Cassy has red hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like I've get a new favourite show... but I don't think that I will like it more than TVD!

So yeah there are some differences to characters but we all moaned about the changes with TVD and every forgot about after watching the pilot cause the actors were amazing. So I expect it'll be the same with The Secret Circle. Even though Nick is blonde he does capture the character cause in that promo pic Nick looks like he couldn't give a damn and it makes me laugh. Seriously look at his facial expression :L Brilliant casting on Faye, exactly how I imagined her in the books.

Britt looks like she's put on some poundage - not good. Besides her, Thomas Dekker is the only one I ever heard of or have seen as far as I know.
No matter, I know they will be bed hopping by the 3rd. episode and I would stop watching so why bother. No, I'm not a prude but Hollywood thinks everyone wants to see teen sex every day on every show. Try a little self restraint Hollywood!

I agree with maheshfunky - thomas dekker was 100% how I imagined nick to be in the books. adam is supposed to be redheaded, dammit. And the actress they got to play diana is very beautiful but she is supposed to blonde. The girl they cast as faye is the only good casting I think. She was pretty much how I imagined her in the book. But I do wish they had made thomas dekker nick cause he is perfect. I hold serious reservations for the actor they did pick to play nick. And I'm super sad there is no redheaded adam. :( and in the books cassie's mom was not dead! They both moved in with the grandmother.

I have been waiting for a new show to replace what I have lost when Charmed ended... I heard that the series is good so I hope this show does well.

That Melissa girl is perfect for Faye but oh well. And seriously they could have had a more creative promo poster. But I really thought Adam and Nick were swapped around just like Faye and Diana. Man i really hope they can pull this off.
