Will Chad Murray and Hilarie Burton Return for Final Season of One Tree Hill?
One Tree Hill is not included on The CW's fall schedule. That's because the drama will return in January with its final run of 13 episodes.
But network bosses have news that might soften this blow for fans: Chad Murray and Hilarie Burton could very well appear on season nine at some point.
“[New CW boss] Mark Pedowitz is going to talk with them,” outgoing preisdent Dawn Ostroff told TV Line at the Upfronts. “I don’t think anything has been done yet, but now that everybody knows that this is the final 13 episodes... ”
“... that makes it more possible as far as cast members coming back,” Pedowitz jumped in.
Let's all hope the former and upcoming head honchos are correct, shall we?

One Tree Hill to me was always about flmiay and friendships. I think the fans as well as the actors deserve the best ending possible to this show. Lucas and Peyton were a huge part to all the characters' story lines and I really hope Hilarie Burton and Chad Michael Murray can come back for all or at least most of the last 13 episodes. Otherwise, I doubt I'll watch the ending cuz I'd like to leave it as it ended, first in season 6, and then in season 8. I do agree that the show was good after Leyton left BUT it was not even CLOSE to how good it could have been had they stayed. So yes, I hope with all my heart that the actors have time and the ending is as great and happy as we all hope it will be .

Lucas and peyton should try to make it up to their fans,even if not for any oher thing but at least for their fans.We miss u guys

definitely chad and hilary should come back,this the ending season for the entire run...they should be part of it,they should insist to be part of it...its where they came from...and i think it will not give any harm if for the last time they will be part of OTH....As they say...to be able to go forward in life..one should not forget to look back where one came from...."

Well if we go by that hilarie is a season regular on WC yet hasnt appear except in one episode mayb she was filming for OTH well thats what im hoping

they must come back they are the reason i started watching one tree hill and its good for them to have a prolonged happy ending

Peyton & Lucas are the greatest love story ever told... if they don't come back for the last season i will be very disappoited. But i have this gut feeling they will, they know their fans love them. I'm very sad to see this show end but i can say i have learned so many things because of these special characters.

HELL YEAH of course we want to see Leyton back the whole point of OTH was about the 2 brothers.
