The Walking Dead Casts the Greenes
The Walking Dead has cast a pair of key roles for season two.
First, Scott Wilson will come on board as Hershel Greene. The character plays a prominent role in the graphic novel series and owns a farm that has been ravaged by zombies. Rick and company will spend a lot of time there.
"He's a veterinarian with a great sense of humanity and a very unique take on the Walkers," Gale Anne Hurd tells TV Guide.
Lauren Cohan (The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Chuck) will also portray a member of the Greene family, Hershel's daughter Maggie.
Hurd describes her as a "survivor" and a "romantic interest" for Glenn.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC this fall.

I am not a fan of the casting for Hershel but i love the choice for Maggie.

this is great news! I like both actors and cant wait to see them on The Walking Dead, havent read the comics but hope they last!

This is a huge role for Lauren Cohan because Maggie is an important character in the comics. She deserves it.
