Report: Desperate Housewives to End After Season 8
There are no quotes and no confirmation from ABC at the moment, but a reliable source tells Deadline that Desperate Housewives will come to an end following the 2011-2012 season.
An official announcement is expected to be made tomorrow at the show's Television Critics Association press tour panel.
Cast members Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, and Eva Longoria are reportedly taken aback by the news, as the drama was expected to have at least another year on ABC because the network has an option for season nine with all four actresses.
Instead, it looks like the series will wrap up in May.

I'm very disappointed that the show is comimg to an end. I really enjoyed watching. I always looked forward to Sunday nights. The 5 year jump was very weird and it made me feel as if I missed out on alot but I love the show so much I got over it..lol
Really wish it wasn't coming to an end :*(

I agree with JD, the 5 year jump was Stupid! And took the charm from the show!
The only HW which was moving forward was Gabby, the other storylines bored me to death! Especially the story about Dave, and they shouldn't kill off Nicole(eddie)!
I will miss the show, but nothing lasts forever so hoping for an great season, full of housewive sneaking, lying and off course s*x!
