Honestly, Jenna belongs with Jake because he's always been there for her, has never been embarassed to be around her, and is a genuinely nice guy. Matty, on the other hand, is too caught up in how much other people care about his image to be in a committed relationship with Jenna so I'm all for Jenna and Jake being together. They're so adorable, rooooiiight?

Just finished rewatching the season... am addicted and am glad there is going to be a second season! BUT... WHEN DOES IT START!! I am dying to see what happens next!

LOL, perfectly said. I completely agree. Real life doesn't work like that, and Jake being "nice" doesn't make him right for Jenna.

Things change, people make mistakes. That doesn't make Matty less right for Jenna or Jake more, when she's so clearly in love with Matty, and he was obviously falling for her as well. Matty and Jenna may not be the perfect, easey love, but they are the real and honest one.

What does where they have sex have to do with it? They had sex in Jenna's bed too, LOL. People are allowed to make mistakes, it doesn't make them a bad person. Especially when you are 16. Matty is a good guy.He got along with Jenna's friends and family so well. And he got over his fear of what people would think. He did the right thing and stepped aside at the formal even though it's so obvious it killed him. I'm sick of people looking for any excuse to hate on Matty, or act like he doesn't care about Jenna. That should have proven he does.
And it's really frustrating to see people list this "out in public" thing as a reason for Jake and Jenna to be together. That's not enough to make Jake right for Jenna, and Jenna loves Matty. Jake will always be second choice.

People are entitled to their opinions, but it has nothing to do with matty being hot and cool. Jake is a nice guy, but Jenna doesn't love him.He's not right for her. Her heart is with Matty. She chose Jake because she was hurt and wanted something safe.
And do you honestly think it's over between her and Matty? I know they will get back together.

My friend and I watched the last episode of season one together and she was screaming JAKE! JAKE! JAKE! while I was going MATTY! MATTY! MATTY! I ended up having to pay her ten bucks cause we made a bet...I really think Matty and Jenna are good together(:
