Bears noticing that one of those was an immature flirtation (Kate) and the other was an absolute freaking disaster (Jeanne). Doing anything with Ziva would be just as disastrous. He shouldn't be working with her, let alone dating her, after what happened in Aliyah

I'm not sure if anyone said this already but Dr. Cranston's (and NCIS writer's) nod to TIVA! Something along the lines of: (to Tony) and your complicated relationship with Agent David. Slow episode, but definitely a good one.

I liked it no it wasn't my favorite one but it was still a good episode I liked how Tony tried to remember what happen.
NCIS always leaves us hunging look how long it took to get Ari. its just for a set up for the season NCIS always did that. ratings where was # 1 Glee drop down from last year.

Did you guys watch the same ep?! It was great. Not perfect, but very entertaining, and Michael Weatherly and Mark Harmon were superb. And of course they havn't tied up all the loose end. This is NCIS, they ALWAYS leave more for later episodes. They were setting the scene for the season, like they always do, and have done for eight seasons now. Thumbs up from me. Wow, throw a rock hit a critic.

I relate the season opener as this. As a child I waited all year for Christmas. I went to bed hoping for a BB gun instead I got cheap toys and socks. Boy what a let down last night was.

As usual good, show. Major misstep, however, I'm surprised got by those involved with show. Tony, the movie buff, while describing watching Angels With Dirty Faces states Bogie is the priest. Au contraire, Pat O'Brien is the priest, Bogey is the bad guy Cagney kills. I'm really surprised writers/directors etc. let this get by.

Wow! I enjoyed the show, beginning to end...no quick answers to a lot of questions, the team's assumption (based on Tony's previous deviousness when he was undercover for Jenny), and Gibbs letting Vance and the new SecNav know that his team was HIS team. There's a lot more going on underneath the surface, and I for one intend to be patient enough to see it through. Short-term memory loss DOES happen, innocent people ARE used as scapegoats, and life moves at the pace it wants to, even on NICS.

I may have missed or didn't remember the end of last season, but for most of this episode I thought they were saying "Kate" when they were actually saying "Cade." Talk about being led astray!

I have been reading the posts and I agree the season opener was a loser. all the actors are a-#1 but the writers dropped the ball. Jesse and Shane will pull it out of the fire{I Hope}

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait to find out how this Phanton Eight is going to turn out. For me, I have no idea who the bad guy is and that's good. Surprised at some of the bad comments, but i loved......it.

I agree with Tomee's Post from this morning,also since they've Killed off Mike Franks, another Lone Wolf Agent like Mike & Gibbs should come out of the wood work & revel Vance for who he is. Last nights show sucked big time.
