Cooper received the surprise of a lifetime on Private Practice last Thursday: he's a father. Maybe. Possibly. Almost definitely.

As Paul Adelstein previewed in our interview with the star, this character will react to the addition of an eight-year old son in his life with shock, and then acceptance, and then joy. Heck, he'll be so taken by the concept that he'll refuse his friends' pleas for a paternity test.

First, though, Cooper will have some questions for AJ Langer's Erica, who just showed up nine years after a backseat fling and delivered this life-changing piece of news.
