The Vampire Diaries Round Table: "Disturbing Behavior"

So... all THAT happened on The Vampire Diaries last night.

Katherine made her presence felt, Stefan was outed for still loving Elena, Damon sort of killed Alaric and Anna communicated with Jeremy from beyond. With so many happenings, there's no time to waste for Round Table panelists Matt Richenthal, Steve Marsi, Dan Forcella and Eric Hocberger. Let's get right to it!

-------------------------------------------

What was your favorite scene from the episode?
Matt: Rebekah's speech to Stefan about how, deep inside, Klaus is actually jealous of him due to Stefan's devotion to family. Leave it to The Vampire Diaries to craft a layered, sensitive villain, even as he slurps the blood from one innocent victim after another.

Steve: Rebecca seeing through Stefan's probing questions and outing him to Klaus. The tension of not knowing how this dangerous loose cannon is going to react, and how much he instinctively knows in a situation like that, makes for intense scenes. Forwood foreplay is always enjoyable too.

Dan: Caroline using all of her vamp powers to come and save her daddy from big bad Damon. It was nice to see her take control of the situation like that.

Eric: I have to 100% agree with Dan. So bad ass to see Caroline stand up to Damon. I'm stronger. I'm angrier!

Vampire Diaries Round Table

Is this the last we've seen of Bill Forbes?
Matt: No way. If THIS RUMOR is true, even Caroline's narrow-minded father wouldn't miss the birth of his grandchild. Errr, grand-hybrid.

Steve: That would be hella weak if so. They introduce Caroline's gay, vampire-torturing dad, who is impervious to their compulsion, only for him to have a change of heart, hop in the car and peace out? I'm a believer that the show needs fewer characters, not more, but still. Seems like wasted potential here.

Dan: Absolutely not. Vampire Bill... sorry, wrong show... I mean vampire-hating Bill, will be back to cause trouble for our friends at some point. We know better than to write anyone off in this show, let alone the formerly horn-rimmed glasses wearing Jack Coleman.

Eric: Absolutely not. He's going to be the Uncle John of season three, Heroes connection and all! Hopefully he'll come back with some new tricks and not just be a snack box for Damon.

Are you on Team Anna or Team Bonnie?
Matt: Team Anna. She may be an apparition, but there's nothing temporary or phony about Jeremy's feelings for this lonely ghost. Janna forever! Literally!

Steve: Team Matty. Where was he last night? Clearly not smoking up with Jeremy, so maybe he had a double shift at work? Brutal. To answer your question, I forgot Bonnie was on the show until last night, and am intrigued by Anna's otherworldly presence, so I'll go with the ghost.

Dan: Team Caroline as always, but if I'm choosing between these two, it's Bonnie and it's not even close.

Eric: What happened to Team Vicki!? But if you're leaving me with those two, I'll stick on Team Bonnie. Witches are so much sexier than ghosts. Plus, you'll look way less crazy when you take them out on a date.

Should Alaric forgive Damon for temporarily snapping his neck?
Matt: Yes, but not for waking him up with that girlie drink! What was that made with, lemonade?!? The guy just had his neck snapped. Does that not deserve a scotch?

Steve: Should Matt Richenthal forgive Damon for repeatedly calling him Ric? The answer to both questions is a reluctant yes. When it's bound to happen again and you can't stop it, just accept it and move on guys.

Dan: On a serious note, yes. Unlike a few of the other times Damon has killed someone and then claimed he knew the victim was wearing a special ring, this time it was obvious that he knew Ric would be coming back to life. Let him take his aggression out of once in a while. It will help in the long run.

Eric: Yes, but only because it's my favorite bromance on the show. Far more fun than that fake Stefan-Klaus one.

What sight should Stefan take Klaus to see first in Mystic Falls?
Matt: How is there any answer to this question aside from The Grill? I didn't know there were any tourist spots in town aside from The Grill.

Steve: The football field. A little ripper reminiscing about the time Damon slaughtered the coach, followed by some Friday night gridiron action? Talk about your quintessential taste of Americana and/or human flesh.

Dan: The Salvatore's prison basement.

Eric: What Matt said. I was just shocked the truck didn't simply pull up to The Grill.

Damon and Elena not so hot anymore they wont get together till the finale, Its Tyler and Caroline and Anna and Jeremy for me.

    Best scene for me...
The fight between Damon and Elena. This girl has to accept the fact, that a vampire is not a puppie she can drill..Stefan maybe is the one she can drill for a while, but not the complete species of vampires..
What is it with us women that we want to turn every men we love..stupid..
To fall in love with a vampire means to accept the first fact everyone knows, In the deep, maybe hidden, they are predators..
Love the hole stunning, full of dramatic tension, in short sentence yelling fight between them both and every word Damon yells at her..

Sorry to disapoint you, but the last time i checked, i was still a vampire.

And i love also, that even maybe he will never get her, he´s not ready to turn into something for her, that he never be..the perfect boyfriend every mother wants for her daughter..

That`s why i love the idea of Damon and Elena so much..
Forget all this stupid argues between the fans of both couples, but with Damon, Elena get´s a chance make

@lou....hmm not a big fan on that theory

    1. My favrite scene was all the scenes that Caroline was in, especially the through down between her and Damon, followed by her and Tyler.
    2. Still undecided on if I want to see Bill Forbes again.
    3. I am so team Bonnie. I just wish we got more scenes with her as Jeremy's girlfriend and not just the shows go to witch.
    4. Yes he should forgive him. Damon was under a lot of pressure from everyone tryig to change him. Besides their bromance is one of the best on T.V. today.
    5. The Grille of course. Where else is there to go?

  5. San

    Just a thought - what if Vampire-hating Bill's "boyfriend" is vampire-hunter Michael?!

  6. Liz

Anna's interesting...but I got into the show around Jeremy/Bonnie so I gotta admit, I'm rooting for their characters to get stronger and their relationship to flourish. She doesn't seem to be faring too well (why?!), but I'm holding out hope!

@ilk_vomit, the dagger doesn't work on klaus because he is part-werewolf and silver doesn't affect werewolves in any way. Elijah mentioned it to Elena sometime in season 2.

  8. Lou

@ Ilk_vomit: the dagger was probably made to punish supernatural creatures that would dare to attack an Original. Maybe the dagger doesn't work on Klaus because he's an Original and doesn't get punished for killing another original.

What was your favorite scene from the episode?
I have to say, I was intrigued by Caroline's angry fist fight with Damon. Girl power has been missed.
But if I had to decide on one, it's gotta be Delena's chili-making-scene. I'm a sucker for everyday-romance and the chemistry is there.
Is this the last we've seen of Bill Forbes?
Hopefully not. I'm still curious as to what would happen to him, if someone (let's say... D...) turned him against his will.
Are you Team Anna or Team Bonnie?
Although Anna and Jeremy are gorgeous together and it's breaking my heart to see her so lonely and desperate... let's face the facts, guys! She's dad! Let Jeremy stay in reality.
Should Alaric forgive Damon for temporarily snapping his neck?
I thought men always bragged with being uncomplicated... If they're true friends, he should just build a bridge and get over it... It's like a "friendly" punch in the stomach. Probably a little more painful, but you get the idea.

my favorite scene from this episode was the damon vs. caroline fight. she has really grown as a character and I find myself fascinated with every seen shes in. who would've guessed that she would totally own damon........... I don't think weve seen the last of bill, he's this seasons john gilbert. look for his unique take on the human mind to return somewhere down the road. the show was really trying to drive that home with the 2 episodes he was. so I expect it to come back somewhere........ team Anna all the way !!!,i adore her.............. alaric will forgive damon, but not right away...............Stephen should take klaus to the grill and share some man-mosas lol............ by the way, what happened to the daggers mythology ? I have brought it up before but nobody commented. klaus killed elijah with it yet nothing happened to him, and it appears that all of the other originals will have the same type of dagger embedded in their chest.are we to believe that the writers/producers j
